**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

Yeah it looks a good phone. Has the mediatek 800u processor which is pretty good. I'd actually prefer that to the pro model.

Although I managed to get the Xiaomi pocophone f2 8gb 256gb last night from xiaomi UK for £300 last night as you can get coupons if you log in on their website for a few days.

Anyone seen the Realme 7 5G?

5G
5000mah battery
120Hz display
48mp camera
30w fast charge

Expected to come in at under $300.
Unless you have a top tier soc in a 120htz phone I'd stick to 60htz. Even a mid range soc can't cope with 120htz even if the lcd/oled panel can. Trust me.

£169 for 10T Lite 5G on Xioami UK using voucher sounds incredible, almost tempting to buy and ditch landline broadband at imminent end of contract.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

You can get it for £260 if you add a fidget spinner and use a discount code, mine is arriving today :D

Yeah saw the same deal, got it for £270 with a miband 5, thought it was worth a try. Hopefully it's a bargain for that price.

When did you order yours/how long did it take to come? I've had a conformation email but no update on delivery yet.

Ordered Saturday just arrived an hour ago, love it!

Mine came within 24 hours. So far so good. It's a nice phone with similar battery life to my old mate 20 pro. Can't say I'm missing the curved screen. Doesn't bother me which I have. Amoled screen looks very similar to the old phone as well even though I think this has a lower resolution, so still an excellent screen. Camera seems to be good quality as well. The few that I have taken look at least as good maybe better than my old phone which was one of the best phone cameras of its time. I haven't tried low light yet.
For me the only slight let down was transferring my data across. The Huawei phone clone was rediculously easy and literally did clone my old LG G5. With shareme I had to select everything I wanted to move over and the barcode barely worked. It would have been almost as easy to Bluetooth photos and music files across. In fact I did use the Bluetooth in that app to transfer them because the barcode wouldn't end up connecting. It did work once but then lost it so I had to revert to Bluetooth again.

Today I just ordered a new SIM only deal for it. Going with BT (I have broadband with them) so I get £5 off each deal. £15 per month 50gb of 5g data unlimited mins and texts. Plus you get the BT sport app for the entirety of the contract which is 24 months. Could have had 30gb for 12 months the same price. I didnt mind the 2 year contract as I've previously used the EE network through Virgin and found that to be just a little bit better with 4g coverage than Vodafone. Although in my house it's a little more sketchy than Voda but everything is sketchy. 5g no idea who is actually best although EE claim to be. I might get it where I work but I'm actually quite happy with 4g until 5g gets much more consistent with large scale coverage.

After a week, the only downside I have with my Poco F2 Pro is that being 15% heavier than my Mix 2S makes it uncomfortable in my standard 'browsing in bed' hand position.

I normally prop the bottom of the phone with my pinkie to prevent slippage, but after around 30 minutes it starts to get uncomfortable. With my Mix 2S I could go hours with no issue.

Anyone know of a deal on Poco F2 Pro on the way? I was hoping the £299 deal might have come again for Christmas sales, any thoughts the January sales might bring?

Seems unlikely from the UK site as they stopped production of the F2 and has been showing out of stock since the deal back in November.

That's a phone I was seriously looking at but got fed up of waiting for a global launch which was meant to have happened last year so I went with my Poco F2 8gb for £300 in the xioami sale. Unfortunately I can't help with flashing ROMs so I don't know if that would solve it or not. Which network are you with? That might play a part. I found with Vodafone it told me WiFi calling was on. With BT/EE it sometimes shows it. My wife found with O2 that it disappeared from her S20 and had to find the app and re install it. Maybe that's something you need to look into. How much did you manage to get the X7 pro for? Also how are you finding it?

Anything out there currently for about £250ish that is better than a Poco F1, or just stump up the £300 for an F2?
