My 2 cents. My opinion only, others of course will differ...

Been looking forward to this since its announcement.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first few games in Story mode, the grenade/mele/weapon trinity is right from Halo and makes the gameplay (gunplay) excellent.

However... it really is repetitive. very repetitive. very, very repetitive. See what I did there? The grinding, the weapons, the reused spaceship travel scenes, the back and forth from tower to next mission. The enemies. Rinse and repeat, add a level, rinse and repeat.

I'm sad to say I won't be buying it, I found it frustrating with the boss battles and the stupid elements where you cannot respawn for inexplicable reasons. Spending nigh on 20mins attempting to destroy a boss, only to die and have to restart again. Really? Imagine as the game gets harder, it will be rage inducing.

Crucible, the multiplayer versus element, just plays badly and doesnt seem to flow. It feels like any third rate multiplayer game.

I'm actually thinking of selling my PS4 and going back to an Xbox One, for some Halo action instead.

Very sad :(
 
Only played the intro section but I'm enjoying it. Shooting is nice and solid and it looks very nice too.
Will see if I'm still enjoying it when I've played some more and when I've played with some friends as well.
 
I have put in a few hours and it is very samey. Impressive at first but I'm actually getting bored of it now. Hopefully it will pick up in the next few hours but for me it's a very repetitive game with little content. Looks nice though......
 
I'm kinda lost with it if I'm honest. I mean it starts well but then just feels very lonely, isn't it supposed to be drop in and drop out coop game. I don't see anyone?!?! :confused:

I just don't get the concept. Maybe I need to play a bit more.
 
Played with a few mates there makes all the difference had tons if fun and finished the strike mission tons of laughs and great team work.

Waaaay better than the alpha can't wait til September :)
 
Seems like this game will polarize opinion somewhat. From watching a few vids and livestreams it looks like my cup of tea tbh! I'm looking forward to something epic on the final release.
 
Epic music and pretty sky lines don't make up for what the game actually is. A slower Borderlands minus the humour with tagged on MMO hub parts.

Overated game i'm telling ya.

Many will convince themselves this is something it aint.

I had 1 spare PS4 code anyone still needs one at this point.

I went on at 10 last night to do it so didn't have any issues. downloaded and installed in 35 minutes which was pretty good for 13GB.


Haven't bothered trying it yet but intend to play it at the weekend with some mates - which is the reason I'm getting the game.
I think with mates, it looks like it'll be great fun and I'll put 100 hours into it easily. By myself, I'll barely play it as I think it'd be really quite boring.

Just let me know if you want a code
 
As with a lot of RPG style games, it's not going to be nearly as much fun if you're playing on your own. I did my first strike mission with 2 mates last night and honestly it's the most fun I've had in a long time playing a game.
