So it's that time of the year again

When we all get to see glimpse's or near finished versions of games we've been waiting for for months, maybe even years

FAQ

So what is E3?
The Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly known as E3, is an annual trade show for the computer and video games industry presented by the Entertainment Software Association. It is only open to game industry professionals, journalists, and guests of exhibitors, such as celebrities. As of 2007, E3 will be invitation-only, meaning that instead of around 60,000 people at E3 there will only be 5,000. The reason for this change is to allow for a more intimate atmosphere where business will be emphasized. A separate conference called Entertainment for All Expo has been created to accommodate the public demand for a major, annual video game event.

Now, how are we able to find out what's going on at E3?

Well there are a number of ways, last year I signed up for Gamespots Total E3 coverage, everything live and it has great feeds. A lot of places offer live coverage but with poor quality streaming that suffers when a lot of people are watching. I didnt have this problem last year, and at only £3.50 a month, its a bargain.

It also offers HD downloads of the events after they finish. So heres the link for you to sign up to that HERE

As well as Gamespot, a number of places also offer coverage

IGN, 1up, GameTrailers. There are many more but it is worth noting the 3 mentioned are the most reliable

If anyone knows any more please say and I will update the list

It's worth noting that while these sites any others require subscription, they still offer free streams, just at lower resolutions and with adverts (the case with gamespot anyway)

So how long is it on for?

I would LOVE to see some gameplay footage of GTA IV.

Does anyone know if the E3 before San Andreas, Vice City and GTA3 brought about any gameplay footage?
I'm failry certain they didn't as Rockstar usually remain fairly low-key at E3.

Stranglehold is on 360 isn't it? as is Haze i thought

Haze is still a PS3 exclusive. It was rumoured to be going multi platform, but the web site still only mentions the PS3. Also there is a game some thought would be multi platform being confirmed as PS3 exclsuvie tomorrow, and it is suspected to be Haze. Good for the PS3 tbh

Not suprised about Square-Enix with 5 out of 9 games being Final Fantasy  Glad to see Front Mission DS making its way state side though, that means I can play it in English :)
