Definatly going for the ps4 but i did also think the MS conference was more exciting game wise...I mean we didnt get to see hardly any new Killzone..no deep down gameplay which was by far there best looking game at the reveal. Destiny looked really good but nothing really wowed me as much as ryse did. I guess it didnt help with the steam stopping and starting.
Good thing is we know what games are coming and plenty of time to release trailers/gameplay etc between now and launch. Just getting an idea is good enough for me. Still theres a few MS exclusives I saw today Im really interested in, Im just not interested in their console model.

Hmmm Im tempted to pre-order because of the hype myself. Think Ill go to bed and sleep on it. Probably go via Amazon - what price are they doing it as at the moment?

Am I not right in thinking that my PS+ even if I dont get the PS4 right wawy I could just purchase the free games til I do, like most of us do with the Vita right now?

Anyone else of the opinion that if they had shown no games and just made the used game, online DRM and price announcement you would still be in the same position as you are now? I feel obliged to pre-order to prove Sony right in the way they are doing business...

Watched eleven hours and I can say I'm very happy with what I saw.

This is a huge push in the right direction and though there are still some unanswered questions, I think Sony just made a positive impression on gamers worldwide with their conference.

Both sides have strong gaming line-ups, exclusive titles and great hardware. Sony have probably just took a nice slice of the market back from MS by undercutting them in price, sending a clear message about their online connectivity and stance on used games.

Best E3 I've seen in years in my eyes.

Don't forget Titanfall and Ryse too, the former looks phenominal.

Ryse looked good graphically but gameplay wise it was just walk up to enemy, press button, animation, dead.

So, are those 4 worth £590? :p

Agreed, which is why I highlighted the former primarily. I'm sure there will be a lot more to Ryse (hopefully) anyway.

Let's be honest, this is one hell of a year to be a gamer, both sides have a great setup and superb games.

Luckily, I'll be buying both so I won't have to make that awful decision.

All I can think of now are the ways the likes of EA will try and screw me over - more expensive DLC content and online passes on the PS4 now, and any other publisher who is in bed with Microsoft. Things will get messy before release. I was all set on the Xbox not sure now with such a difference in policy and price.

And the Xbox One won't be subsidised with Gold membership?

My prediction is that we will see Microsoft dump the kinect and offer the X1 for ±£20 of the £350 of the PS4.

How? They already said that the kinect always needs to be plugged in...

I have a feeling that Ryse is just a tech demo for the new hardware, it is too early to say tbh but I have a gut feeling about it. Microsoft have 3 good exclusives compared to Sony's 3 and people who can only afford one console will go with the PS4 in my opinion, especially with the DRM the Xbone has.

You are indeed lucky to be able to play Dead Rising but Capcom have said they are done with exclusives though so no idea what happened there. Microsoft have thrown a ton of money around getting these exclusives and that's only more money they will have to make back, and looking at how it is now they have just hemorrhaged more cash before they even got going doing that. Bungie and Sony have a solid partnership and Killzone/Infamous are both practically in-house, so they didn't throw anywhere near as much money to get theirs.

I do think Microsoft will get stomped this generation, they tried slinging on Sony's turf last gen and it worked, but now Sony are out for blood.
