Probably what he means - combat was just not something ME really needed. I don't want it improved in ME2, just taken out.

ME is one of my favourite games of all time. The design and ambient music is just a joy as you perfect speed runs round the levels. Still play it through every 6 month and its the first game I reinstall on a fresh windows installation.

It doesn't need combat but unless it has some sort of compromise it will be a very niche game and be destined to sell as poorly as the original
