The iPad will be in the UK in a month or so and some people have already been able to import one so as someone who will have their hands on one soon, I'm interested to know what your 'essential' iPad apps are.

We have a thread for the iPhone, I'd think that the list of apps for the iPad will be different.

So here we go - Post your essential iPad apps in here.

Links to the App store would be good to have as well.

I just wish the UK app store was fully up, not being able to connect to it from my iPad is a little frustrating.

Aye, the issue is that at the moment if you try to go to the App store on the iPad itself that it pops up and tells you to go away because it's not active in this country. I don't have a US account to hook it up to.

It's fine doing it through iTunes except that iBooks isn't available yet.

1Password is excellent, they just need to fix the bookmark issue with Safari (and make it work fully with multi-tasking when it comes in).

I agree with GoodReader on that list, add Dropbox to it as well although if you buy GoodReader then you don't need the native Dropbox app.

That's pretty standard. Apps bought on one account don't work on another account.

I've got both the GQ and Maxim apps, wish they'd pick up the UK magazines though. Perhaps in future we'll get them.

I spent £20 on apps this weekend lol, but accidentally bought the wrong version of Bento for the iphone first....£2.99 wasted.

You know you can get refunds? I've done it for apps that promise but don't deliver.

It doesn't copy because it says the ipad cannot read this type of file

Odd because that was much publicised with the latest version of iTunes. You are using the latest version and have iBooks installed?
