*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

I'll probably buy a few; Never really bought many last year, probably spend around £40 over the course of the year. Which compared to some on this forum is a pittance!! :p

I think this year we'll all be better off buying quite a few packs on day one when the prices for players will be so much higher. If someone gets lucky with a Messi, Ronaldo or Rooney then they'll be set until FIFA 14. :D

You dont have a link for that do you?

Loving the fact that your online pro data is server-side and that the Club variant cant even be played offline to be boosted. Fair few Club improvement might make it worthwhile with Club this year (AI teammates improve now; better matchmaking filters etc...)

Was mentioned in the video I posted.

Depends how much these coin boosts cost. Will probably end up being better just buying packs and hoping for a good find.

Anyway, it seems like this "first touch" efature is going to be the main new feature in Fifa 13. It sounds like it'll change how you play just like how cotain defending changed the way you play.

I didn't realise what contain was until the other day when I had a friend round and had to change the controls. I just jockey and hold the teammate control thing.

Looks like they only add 1k per match for however many matches you buy it for - what Im unsure of are these exclusive for those levels or maybe just discounted higher because of the level you are on (so everyone has access to these coin boosts). A minimum 15k+match coins for 15matches isnt that bad, especially when you are starting out, but when you are a high level you are likely to already amassed a fortune not to need such boosts...

Also I presume the level relates to your FUT13 one, rather than what you achieved in FUT12...

Im gonna aim to hit 5million coins in trade this year - doubt Ill get that close, but its a nice target to aim for, obviously buy a few packs to get me going but probably an order lower than most of you guys ;). Trading should be pretty easy this year due to access...

I've just bought one, they run for 12 months from when you buy it plus free packs.

Has to be worth it if you plan on buying some packs.....

EA said:
PDLC refers to Paid Downloadable Content, which enhances your gaming experience. In NHL 13 for example, you get a discount on all Boost Packs and Ultimate Team card packs purchased with real money. That's an unlimited discount, meaning the more packs you buy the more you save and, more importantly, the greater chance you have at creating your Ultimate NHL 13 team! The type of PDLC varies across the participating EA SPORTS titles but the 20% discount is good on all participating titles. You'll always be getting more content with every dollar you spend. The 20% discount does not apply to DLC purchased with in-game achievement points such as Ultimate Team Card Packs purchased with Coins. Additionally, the 20% discount does not apply to the full game itself.

Will the 20% discount on DLC still apply for FIFA? This would be awesome, but as I understand in Fifa 13 you have to buy FIFA Points using which to buy packs, but seeing as you can't directly buy packs with money anymore, it doesn't look like this discount would apply to the purchase of FIFA Points? Meh.

Ok guys i know that this is probably not the best place to ask, i'm also sure its been covered elsewhere in these forums and i know a quick google (although not that quick, as my simple google searches have so far turned up no useful info) will probably answer this for me, but i am a member here and surely that means i have access to the superior knowledge about all things FUT with fellow members.

Right im losing fairly consistently on FUT, i play 4-3-3 and have 100% chem with everyone playing in position. Every time i play online i get get counter attacked and i have 2 defenders back, the LB & RB seem to be off doing there own thing, the midfield doesn't drop to help out and the inevitable happens.

Now when i attack the opposition players always have most of their team behind the ball in a very narrow tightly packed defensive unit, making my it very difficult to break them down.
How is this achieved?

Erm what's your gamertag, are you on xbox or ps3? If you're on xbox I can give you a game or two and see what you're doing?

I'm ps3 sadly. Pretty poor defensively as i only just came back to fifa after giving up on pes a few years back, my main problem is numbers back when defending

It's acheived by using different formations essentially; A 4-3-3 is an offensive formation which does leave you open to counters, especially on the wings; You're RF and LF arent' likely to get too far back, which leaves space in front of the full back and behind the forwards. You're cm's then have to shift oveer to combat this, leaving even more space.

What's your team?
