Response i got from BT forums - saying basically its the EA servers fault......

I have infinty option 2 and Fifa 13 on the PS3, it's the servers. End of really. If you want to play fifa 13 online lag free you need to do it at about 7am UK time when there aren't as many people playing it. You could have a 1 billion meg line and it won't make the slightest difference, hence why I rarely play online, and unless a miracle happens, Fifa 14 will be the same

I've always aimed for a 75% win ratio since FIFA 08 and this year I'm failing. Mainly down to the fact I change team despite winning with them and I've tried every formation under the Sun, I'm still not happy with my current chosen one! Waaaay too many losses.
