Well, i just bought Arturo Vidal for £12m and he looks great, planned to have him at left back but now Breno has started mouthing off about there being too much competition for CB places, grrr. I don't even have that many. So hard keeping people happy!!

I think I'll be starting one of these Blue Square games soon, should tide me over till FM 2009 :D

They're very fun. Can get VERY frustrating though..

Im in August 2016, with some players from L2, lol.

It's hard to find players, as you end up not knowing anyones names etc.

Right now ive got three defenders, total :p.

Anyone recommend some players around atm (2008) that are fairly young and have a prospect, and also those around 18-22 now (so i can sign them near end of their careers) :D:D.

Transfers so far;

Joe Cole - 34yo
Michael Carrick - 35yo
Angelo Polombo - 34yo

Told you im going for people near end of career :p. Trying to get RvP :D.

Going for Defoe, hes a freebie atm :p.

Left my machine on holiday to see if the finances went crazy again

I won the league again, 111 points :D

So if the finances are fine i am going to carry on from there, its a very easy divison tbh

With the money you spent, its no wonder.

I went 7 years spending £100k total. You spend over half that in one season ;).

Most cos;

That was League 1.

Meh

I could still do it with no cash.

Lol blue square is fine, blue square premier is harder without cash, then league 2.

If you get straight through in first seasons, its because your team has a massive advantage over the others.

Teams in blue square get £0-8k budgets, and a lot less wages.

You've built a decent team, but i would've spent that in about 5 years, not the first season.

Here you go;

Note £45k of that was on one player ;).

How much wages do blue north get then?

it aint much less than 12k

Anyway i am starting it again, no cash , so no Whitaker :(

Just start with a normal team.

Random BSN team; Worksop (current anyway)

Wage budget; £4.34k
Used; £4.04k

Season budget; £0

Just start with a random BSS/BSN team and work your way up. If you dont wanna go through the hassle of finding loads of frees, start in BSP or L2.

Hate it when they get unhappy about too much competition, especially when I sign an AMC and it's the DMC that gets annoyed even though they won't be in direct competition (I play with 2 DMC and 3 AMC).

I'd like the option to respond to the moaner and tell him that I don't see the players as direct competition for each other as opposed to either 'train well', 'you're out' or 'shut-up'.

Got a feeling i could end up back in L1 by end of the season :(.

Can't sign any good players, well good enough to do well in the championship, and ive lost 6-7 in a row :(.

January cant come any faster.

**** my best players contract ends in 2017 (next season) and he says he is considering leaving on a bosman, NOOOO.

Hard luck!

Ahh, you gotta make it to the Prem, only then can you do a proper Gretna :p

Haha ill win at some point.

I have gone back to my Blue Square formation, and i've won the last two!

It's a VERY defensive lineup which is good.

I've just been given more money to spend, now got £6m... but i have no idea who to buy :/ everyone i go for doesn't wanna join :(

Started a new season as Havent and W. :)

Signed a whole new 11 of youngsters for pennies. (Apart from the keeper, he is like 37)

Just beat Fisher 7-0 with Jay Rodriquez (used to be at Burnley) scoring 4 of them. :D

And he is only 18

edit -------------->

just noticed his birthday is the day after mine. :D

I survived the drop, just.

My team really pulled together in the last game and I thrashed Leicester 3 - 0. Rok Kronaveter with a hatrick. In fact he finished my top scorer with 22. I have no idea why my team performed so badly. Need to re-think some tactics and bring in some class defenders, any ideas? I will be in the 2008/2009 season.

Finally check this guy out in my reserves:

46 goals. Probably would have been crap in my first team though.

Wooop. :D

Ive singed David Weir and Burno N'Gotty on frees. :D

Best centre back combo in the blue square north. :cool:

Vidal is a good player, I've got him in my Stuttgart side (in 2014 I believe).

He's not always my first choice, but he always plays 20+ games per season for me.

He can play at LB,CB,LM,CM and DM, scores a fair few goals from corners for me too.
