***The Official Galaxy Nexus ACCESSORIES Thread***

I have an "S-Line" case for the Omnia 7 and Galaxy S II and they are very dodgy, they protect the phone but they're all molded slightly differently and don't always fit too well.

It makes me sad when people get a £500/600 phone and then stick it in a £2 case :(

A £500 phone in a £2 case is better off than it is in no case :)

I use a cheap case and screen protector on all my phones, it keeps them safer.

Not really, you're ruining the entire design aspect of the phone and not really guaranteeing it won't break if you drop it anyway.

Screen protectors are just as bad as well, I've never in several years scratched a screen or even damaged a phone, you have to be rather careless/unlucky. You're declining the quality of the screen as well, even the best ones do this.

I'd rather risk it and buy a new one than ruin the phone when I'm using it. :)

Then take care of it, don't cover it in crap :p

+1

One reason I chose the Nexus over the SGSII is its sexiness... don't mess that up with a case! :)

I usually get an anti glare screen protector, mainly as the greasy build up gets to me, but so far the Nexus is repelling finger prints. This tends to wear off after a couple weeks though :(

I only put a phone in a case once it's scratched to bits and looking a bit shabby but by then it'll likely be two years old anyway.

There is absolutely no point in screen protectors. They ruin the sensitivity of the screen, look awful and are not needed at all. Any decent smart phone will use toughened glass which will withstand any light scratching.

And those awful tacky plastic cases just ruin the look of the phone and add far too much bulk. I always just get myself a decent leather slip case and leave it at that. My phones are always in pristine condition when it comes to upgrade time.
