Ordered an 11 Pro, coming from android all my life this is going to be weird.

What is best case from Amazon (i have gift card balance)

It will be weird for a long time, the first week will be a nightmare

Then you'll love it, and probably won't go back

There's still a few things which are crap though, like bitmojis taking far too many clicks to get into a message

How comes you’ve made the move over?
I've gone from tinkerer to just wanting things to work. Decent camera mostly. I've had 4 android phones and none really stood out.

HTC Desire (lack of space)
Nexus 4 (best I had)
Nexus 6P (terrible battery)
Honor View 10 (fast, slick, terrible camera)

Most of my phones get about 2yrs support then no more updates/security patches.

I used iPhone 6 for work and got rid of it when i got the dual sim honor view 10.

I'm sure you'll be fine. Most people who have jumped ship have found themselves enjoying the iOS experience.

I'm going to be asking lots of dumb questions... First one today:

Why are the apps i am installing on new phone appearing on my ipad. The ipad is assigned to my account but its used by my 4yr old. He doesn't need MS Authenticator etc.

If they are both on the same Apple ID the apps will install on all devices automatically.

You can turn it off in settings.
Settings
iTunes and AppStore
Turn off automatic downloads.

More than just apps sync across devices, iMessage, face time, Photos, safari history etc. You may want to review the settings for all of those.

Alternatively move the iPad to another Apple ID and link it to yours as a family account.

Well looks like im sending it back. No esim support from Three. Not that I ca find anyway.

This phone meant to be used for personal and work. Without that dual sim access this is pointless.

Sky use O2 so perhaps it's possible to use the Three SIM physically and then setup the Sky sim as esim.

Three is my works carrier, we're part of the same group (Hutchison Wampoa) so we won't be moving off them anytime soon.

Sadly iPhone is going back and ordered a Samsung S20+. Thanks for the brief time and assistance here.
What is your personal network? Maybe use that as an esim?
