I'd hate to see what a Vertu thread would be like...
Now that would make for a good debate.

It's actually quite astonishing that £700-900 for a phone is fine but suddenly we're at £999 and the faux outrage has begun...

I remember iPhone 6 prices being quite the debate as well.
You obviously missed that I own an iPhone then?
I'm genuinely shocked that anyone can spend so much time on a phone - whatever the brand.
It was bought for me as a present.
What I like about the X is that you can get the dual camera and bigger screen in a smaller form factor. That is a big deal. Not everyone wants or can use a plus.
Can we have a poll please showing who is buying what or not interested etc?
As said it has left me shocked. I read stories about people spending most of their day on a phone, I believe it's even been featured on The One Show. However, it's the first time I've ever seen anyone list their use like that. I thought I had misread it at first. I'm sorry if that offended you it wasn't my intention, but it really has taken the wind out of my sails.
Or perhaps they're not overly impressed with what the 8 offers over the 7 and aren't prepared to pay silly money for the 10 so are doing nothing for now.
The problem is I have no alternative. I'm sad and rich and spend all day on my phone, what the hell else can I get for at least £999? I've looked at the Lamborghini branded and Vertu sets, but I prefer iOS.
The iPhone 4 pretty much instantly sold out. You can still buy the x with a 4-5 week wait.
In terms of the water proofing of modern phones, could you literally jump into a swimming pool with the Iphone x, take under water photos etc, or is it splash proof? I would be too scared to test it lol
How is it lagging behind the top android phones? It smokes them in terms of performance.
Really that old chestnut? Funny how most tech experts now agree there's almost nothing to separate both OS's. I run both and I certainly wouldn't make this type of tribal claim.
Just noticed this - I make no comment. - https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/10/31/iphone_x_reviewers_struggle_to_admit_face_id_not_very_good/
