**** The Official Lenovo P2 Thread ****

I'm struggling to find a decent case for this phone. What are people currently using?

+ screen protectors. Am I best getting a film type screen protector as I have heard (and seen) that the glass ones don't adhere properly to the bottom of the screen as it is slightly curved?

seriously don't believe forum mods. there is not even a tinge of yellow to it. It's probably just a bad batch and the mods don't want a load of claims.
 
id be wary about not using a case on this phone the screen is very very fragile mine dropped from knee height and it smashed to pieces

took it back and the guy in the shop had a little moan but they are going to swap it on friday when they have more stock. the demo one was the same.

From that it would appear we in the UK won't be getting Nougat.Considering how new the phone is that's terrible support.I just hope it's a badly worded page

That's ridiculous... I hope it just means that they are still working on the P2 for UK as it was released and then pulled. I might ask them via Live Chat. If they confirm we aren't getting Nougat, I will just manually upgrade with the copies online.

Where are these copies downloaded?

That's how I read it, otherwise the phone encrypts the card
 
Nope, I didn't root it. The update on that link is the official update from Lenovo.

I just downloaded it, renamed it to update.zip and then copied it to an SD card. Turned the phone off, popped it into the SD slot, held down volume up and down and the power button so it booted to recovery, picked the update option and it did it. Took 2 minutes to apply the update, a few more minutes to configure the apps and it was done.

I then checked for updates and got the latest one and it updated again. I'm now on build S233.

Only bug I found was that Google play store crashed a few times, but I cleared the cache and data and updated any apps that needed updating which fixed it and it's smooth sailing now.

The fingerprint sensor is a bit quicker now and the video/audio sync bug seems to have been fixed (out of the 5 videos I watched this morning, none were out of sync)
