Decent phone...good specs...In summary just an oversized G2. It'll be interesting to see how LG up their game with the G3.

At least the speaker isn't on the bottom like the G2, I read somewhere that LG have introduced some new speaker tech for the G Pro 2, I can't remember where but I'll try and find it.

Still nevertheless a good alternative to the Note 3.

yea, it looks like good competition for the Note 3, but it all depends on the cost as the hard drives on the LG are smaller. Yeah it's good they have changed the speaker layout for this phone, my only issue (if you can really call it that) is that you sometimes cover the speaker when playing games, but I dont really play any so it's something of nothing really.

I can never get why the speaker placement was at the bottom, I'd inadvertently block the speaker when I was watching Youtube vids, playing games etc.

As you said it all comes down to cost and I think the tech used for the screen. For some reason screens used on LG products (LG G2 and G Pad 8.3) are very dark and you have to crank the brightness up to near max just to see things.

I found the bit about the speakers:

This tidbit comes from ETNews, a Korean site that's spilled similar beans more than once in the past.
The speaker improvements will reportedly result in a stronger, fuller sound than other smartphones in general, and a 30% stronger sound compared to the LG G Pro 2's predecessor, the LG Optimus G Pro.
The G Pro 2 will reportedly also have a dedicated "Smart Listening" app to control sound output settings.

Interesting if it proves to be true.

Sounds good, what are the speakers like on the Optimus G Pro like? Ive not used one.

Very much like the look of this. (not a Samsung fan)

Anyone know if it will have a rgb notification led?
