I haven't got my game yet (:() but I'm mighty interested in knowing if anybody got theirs.

How is it then? Does it live up to the likes of the mighty KOTOR?

Ah I missed that thread yeah would be nice to have a spoiler free one.

I think it was hinting at competitors that got it closed!
 
Boomerang dispatched my rent copy today, shame I cant take a day off atm. Interested to hear opinions though :)
 
I was lucky to get my copy today (LE).. I think the fact I've had it on preorder from day 1 helped :)

Now I may be bias as 1) rpgs are my thang, 2) Baldurs Gate then Kotor are two of my favourite rpg games ever, 3) I love the theme they're trying to recreate; Vangelis, Iain M. Banks, etc. but 1 hour in ignoring the odd graphical imperfection it's quite stunning and oozes atmosphere.

I did too :( Ah well.
I'll be spending as much time as possible next week playing through this :D It's definitely my most anticipated game this year.

Well I loved KOTOR 1 + 2 plus I’m an old school adventure game fan, I have been following mass effect from the start and I’m really looking forward to this and picking it up tomorrow.

Now from what I have read in previews and reviews it looks like Bioware have succeeded in creating what they have set out to achieve regardless of the bugs for which have been mentioned.

It looks so immersive and the dialogue responses you can make have an effect on the way character develops a nice movie edge to it and from what I’ve read a fantastic story to boot I can’t wait till tomorrow afternoon when I dash into my local retail outlet and head direct to the games department elbowing any stray shoppers that get in my way! :D:D
 
On about 10 hours played now.

Lots of fiddly things in this game that are annoying... vehicle control / combat / inventory system / bizarre items, but really they don't take away what the game is and the story is really incredible. Could even shape up to beat FFX (which I thought was the best RPG story ever). Just glad we have 2 more to look forward to at least after this one :D
