*****THE OFFICIAL***** MASS EFFECT THREAD

Wooow [SPOILERS]

Just finished this game, 24 hour total game time so didnt do absolutley everything I could, but did as many of the side missions I could

Basically, without a shadow of a doubt the best game I've ever played. Story was immense and really gripped me. So much so when Alenko dies (I chose to save ash instead of alenko) I actually paused and felt sad about losing him, I havent felt that about a games character since FF7.

The romance subplot was great :p but yeah just everything about it was awesome if I'm honest

Bioware never cease to amaze me with their RPG's. KOTOR was stunning but this was just in another league for me

The ending was great and glad they left it open for 2 and didnt just say that was it for the reapers when the ship blew up

10/10 from me

That's how I feel. Easily the best game on the 360 for me, pushing aside Gears and Dead Rising. I actually paused and went to lie on my bed for 5mins when the game gave us a stand off between Shepard and a key character. The track at the end from Faunts is one of my most played tracks on my mp3 player. It's just amazing to listen to.

While I thought it was a great game, I thought you could tell Bioware were trying to force feed you historical information about the universe rather than details coming off more naturally. Kind of like everyone knows you are a tourist and must give you their entire back story before then can say what you came up to them for.

Hopefully the sequels won't be as bad in this regard as the universe is well and truly set up now.

Yeh when the credits started rolling and that track kicked in it just amplified my feelings of what an awesome game it was :D . Then I felt kinda sad that it was over, but decided to start the game again so s'all good!

Also I kinda raced through the game first time around, missed out half the side-quests and by time I thought about completing them all was too late - am making amends on this second time through though :).

One of the best games I've played in a fair while...

I just completed my first play through today. What an awesome game. I think this game had the potential to be one of the best games of all time if it had just sorted out the vehicle gameplay, menu system and framerate. Absolutely excellent storyline.

On my second playthrough as a Soldier on Hardcore, gonna try and play it through again a third time to pick up some achievements and have one Paragon, Renegade and half n' half character for Mass Effect 2. :D

Right so you're in the citadel after finishing the Eden Prime mission. You have a few key missions in the citadel, which you can see on your missions log thingy. At the same time you'll bump into future squad/colleages who you can enlist to join your party.

The story hasn't even remotely started yet as such. I was hooked from my second main mission after leaving the citadel - you can choose what planet/mission to do from that point. Your best bet right now would be to get used to the citadels layout, and do as many side missions as you can so you can get yourself XP and cash. Take it easy when doing the main missions because it can be over quite fast if you focus soley on them.

Got this popped through my door the other day, completly forgot I had it on my rental list, Wasnt to sure to start with but really getting into it now. Think I might have rushed through the start a bit though, think I missed quite a few of the side missions.

Just finished doing noveria, think I might see if I can go back to the Citadel and catch on some of them, get a bit more XP and cash.

Story line does seem very engrossing, for once i'm actually listening to most of it , enjoying the way you can upgrade all the weapons and ammo for them.

Ah cool, so stick with it basically?

Thread necro.

I am asking if anyone ever purchased the downloadable content for mass effect (bringing down the sky i think) and what they thought of it. At 400points it's cheaper than the silly halo and cod map packs which is awesome, so i'm tempted to get this as i seem to love mass effect a tad.
