The Official Motorola Milestone Thread

They made the Razr didnt they?

When i was at lynx express those things were the bane of my life, "oh look a collection for virgin mobile"

"****** Razr sir?"
"Why yes, how did you know?"
"Lets just call it an educated guess shall we?"

To be honest I think i'd rather have Android 2.0 than Sense UI. As awesome as it is, Sense UI is (afaik) currently only rolling out on Android 1.5, and I don't like the fact it can't be disabled, it's too tied into the OS.

Sense can be disabled :)

At first I thought the lip was some sort of slider. Like media controls or something. But its not.. its just random.

I like the specs, but I never thought I would say this... but I prefer the look of my G1.

So now I have to wait longer for a Qwerty Android phone that has decent specs :(

Not with any ease though so I hear? My friend has a Hero and he moaned about that... but maybe he's just not clued up.

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> TouchFLO -> Clear defaults

Then just hit the home button and it lets you chose between Sense UI or the classic Home screen and gives you the option to set either as the default again.

Once Home is set as default, to undo it you just do:

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Home -> Clear defaults

Why is it ugly? No different to any other touch screen phone a large lcd with a small black lip around it.

Looks fantastic, wonder what it will cost. Got my stupid Lg arena for about 16 more months. Not sure I can wait that long.

Also it seems that the Sense UI is being updated to be released for the HTC Hero on Android 2.0 :)

This is the only phone that has actually made me want to go out and buy it on the release day, even the iPhone hasn't actually done that. It's even funnier when up until now I've been looking at windows mobile based phones

I love the simplicity of the docks changing the modes, why lots of others haven't done this before now is beyond me.

Android seems to have come of age at v2.0 and hopefully with the right software I can sync natively with the pc so that I can be a happy user :)

Now its down to price, if its sub £400 sim free its an obvious buy for me but I expect it to be closer to £500 which would seriously make me think whether or not its worth the price as I can get some pretty good alternatives at that price range, albeit runnning windows.

I'm really liking the look of this phone. I hope it does see a release over her, and that it's not too far away!

Looks like a pretty funky phone, if it is coming out in the next few months then I'll have to give it some serious consideration as my contract finishes shortly after the new year. If not then I'll see what else I can get at the time.
