**The Official Naffa, Benjo and Pulse CSS 1v1 Tournament**

he's right, MR12 is 6 rounds each side, 12 rounds total, not including knives round to start.
game is reaset at end of each half so that you start with pistols on each side.

MR12 means 12 rounds each side, resulting in a score out of 24, so 13-11, 14-10 etc..

As far as I know every game I have played has been that format, or MR15
hmm, thats odd, must have been confused.

nope, mr12 is 12 rounds each side. Effectively first to 13 wins but usually teams play on for the remainder of the rounds.

^ what he said, think of MR as max rounds, whatever you set the max rounds command to means you have that many rounds per half, hence why its MR12 or MR15 stated in most matchs (24 or 30 rounds total)

Look, Benjo didn't know what MR12 stood for and he must have assumed that it meant 6 rounds each way as thats what the rules stated.. Now the match has been void as Ben 'stupidly' thought you were playing by the rules in the OP.

From what I can tell it looks as though we'll be able to use the tocuk dedicated server, at least it looked that was yesterday. I'll see if I can contact AndyT on IRC or something to make sure and if you're free we could play sometime today or tomorrow I guess.

Sounds like there's been a few problems with not knowing how many rounds we're playing so if one of the organisers just chooses I think that'd be best.

Using the server shouldn't be a problem. I'm at work at the moment, should be back about 6 so can sort the server for games. If we can get everyone into the IRC channel then it'll be easier. I can temporarily add a couple people to mani admin so they can start matches for people if they wish to play during the day.

The match is going to be played with either, 6 rounds on each team or 12 rounds on one team. This can be decided by the knife round at the beginning.

What map are we playing on?

Are these purely death matches? Nothing about rescuing hostages or planting a bomb?

well, even if they are its pritty easy to keep an eye on either the bombsite/hostages or rescue site

play de_ maps only, no custom maps (except the cpl ones like mill, fire, contra, strike)

cs_ maps should be left well alone in the world of public tbh

and make sure everyone plays the same map each round

EG round 1 - dust2
round 2 - aztec
round 3 - dust1

(those are the best 3 1v1 or 2v2 maps, then go into things like train, nuke, mill etc)

I think we should just play it to win by whatever means.

Only play de maps, mr12 or mr 15. mr 6 is pointless as the games virtually over and won by the person who wins the pistol round. Each round, the map should be the same.

An exact set of rules should be drawn up and stuck to. None of this agreeing and sorting at the start of the match.
