I did find a Lexar 512Gb for £149.99 that I assume should be compatible, but isn't a partner company with Nintendo, who seem to be marketing Samsung and Sandisk cards.
For my uses, not sure 256Gb will be enough as I currently have a 400Gb micro SD card in my OG Switch which is almost full.

I had not heard of Micro SD Express before today. I just looked up the price of the cards and it turns out they are about 4X more expensive than normal MicroSD cards. Ouch!

So you are either buying physical games at £75 a pop or you need to buy ultra expensive memory cards to save a little bit of money on digital download games.
 
The truth is Nintendo could charge even more and get away with it because they have that level of brand power. People who are price-sensitive and want a handheld should not look at a dedicated console in the first place, PC ones always wins on cost.
 
I wasn't even considering a Switch 2 and then From Soft announce Duskbloods as an exclusive to Switch 2. It looked crazily impressive but I need to find out more before I start saving for one.

In a nutshell, yes. And low capacity cards too.
 
I hope I’m eligible for the preorder. I have a few years of NSO membership and at least a few hundred hours of gameplay time. Do the emails for the preorder go out on the 8th?

Yep was hyped but left me feeling meh. I was on the boarder for the bundle but digital? No thanks.
 
No way I'd shell out that much for a kids console but I guess the days of cheap hardware are gone.

Still you can get a second hand rog ally, a bunch of discount games and a switch emulator for the same price.

Imagine getting one for your kids and them smashing it on the kitchen tiles in the first hour of Xmas day.

I can stomach 300 but 430, woof.

No idea, according to @Plainsong he's received an invitation already. I haven't received anything yet ... I, too, have an online subscription ( for over 5 years ), have participated in multiple surveys etc ( last being a few days ago ) and have hundreds if not thousands of hours of playtime on my console. The unknown is how many consoles will the UK store receive ? If it's not many, then it's possible you may have to sleep, eat & breathe Nintendo daily to qualify for an invite. A lot of people are going to qualify for the bare minimum criteria on the website.

I grabbed one from smyths. I see they've gone already, wonder if they'll go back up considering it was meant to be the 8th for pre orders :cry:
