I saw that listed elsewhere. Did you make a fresh Ama account to make the purchase? Any particular issues with proving you "live in" japan?
I made a new account, lobbed in a "generated" tokyo address, account was insta locked after adding payment details. I just filled in the form that gets presented to you and sent a screenshot of monzo showing that card was mine and amazon after a few hours unlocked the account and I could order, took a few hours for code to arrive. Then I went to eshop (on PC) changed region to Japan redeemed key and changed region back to UK and game appeared on switch ready to play.
Im not overly sure amazon care about you living in Japan but they do care about card fraud it seems.

I tried the same earlier after you mentioned it, only after providing a bank statement to show the card is mine they instead have said it's not enough, but have requested me to send the same thing again. Perhaps I got unlucky with whoever reviewed it

Yeah they asked for a bank statement from me but I havent had a statement in years, so a screenshot of the last transactions (including amazon card check) and screen with last 4 digits on seemed to work. Do you need to set region to Japan on profile for this to register? I thought the S2 did have some form of region locking?
Can you enable English in game or is it locked to Japanese?

Same, way too much hassle, and it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s something in the terms and conditions that goes against obtaining it from another country. Not worth a potential console ban to save a few quid, as I wouldn’t put it past for trying that these days.

No VPN just went to amazon.jp. (Some steps on hotdealsuk)
Set region of account to japan to redeem the code then switch back. Didnt do anything on the s2 apart from play the game.
