Still don't understand why these are so expensive. Is the express exclusive to Nintendo?

My guess would be due to the speed of them. These Express versions are crazy fast compared to any other MicroSD by a very long way

Even the pricey MicroSD extreme cards are only around 200MB/s speeds

Not in theory. It is an open standard. But in practice it is as the Switch 2 is the only major user of them.

Some brands/retailers did increase prices temporarily when the Switch 2 released, but they were generally always around the same price.

The price on them dropped around Nov/Dec I believe, and they're now the cheapest they've ever been, but not by a lot.

Price already jumped up about £9 since the deal was posted.

Was looking forward to starting Dragon Quest III HD but I got sent the Switch 2 and Switch copy of I & II instead, I found out this is because that is what I mistakenly ordered, initially thinking it was t he seller. Well done me, cba to sell it either really. I will keep the S2 version as there is no upgrade path.

No. I thought they were on offer so I got them at the same time, we clearly not cause I made a mistake but I’m gonna play three first because it makes sense story wise at least.
