Don't know anyone who stopped using them because of that lol and didn't even know it happened. Might be one of those "online a lot" people things.
Same. Still use it for purchasing games on Steam and key sites in preference to using a credit card.Me either. Didn’t know it was a thing.
The OLED Switch is the Switch 1 rather the the Switch 2 so make sure your sister knows it is the older model. The Switch 2 is significantly better than the Switch 1 (except it doesn't have an OLED display).Afternoon all
I’m never been clued up with consoles and my sister is after an OLED switch, is there some place that has any offers on or games added?
Many thanks in advance
Should I just shop around? The OLED Switch is the Switch 1 rather the the Switch 2 so make sure your sister knows it is the older model. The Switch 2 is significantly better than the Switch 1 (except it doesn't have an OLED display).
For a Switch 1 OLED, probably best searching the aftermarket eg. CEX, eBAY, Facebook Market etc. I wouldn't pay £300+, which is what the few retailers who still have some limited supply are quoting, particularly when you can buy a Switch 2 for not much more.Should I just shop around?
Thanks every day a school day… thanks
No idea. We don't even know if it is coming at all.Do we know when the OLED version is coming out as that's what I'm waiting on.

Might not bother waiting then and see what all the Zelda and metroid games are about then.
Tbh I would never really play it handheld, I just remembered the switch OLED having slightly better specs than the OG. So I'm just making an assumption that will happen with OLED 2.Just play docked on your Monitor and then you're playing in OLED, voila.
Digital Foundry discussed this a couple of weeks ago and commented that another factor against an OLED model being released in the near future is that there aren't any OLED screens in production with the specifications Nintendo require. In other words, they'd need to fund a custom display ... which in this economic climate is unlikely.I don't think they'll drop the OLED upgrade until sales slow - Switch 1 was something like 4 years after initial launch, so I doubt we're in line for Switch 2 OLED for a couple of years yet.
