Although the 920 thread appears to be more or less all things Lumia, I thought this is worth creating as it is a very different (read larger) handset and packs a punch. I'm not convinced there is much to test it yet in the windows store.

I have one on the way today so will update when in hand. I know there are a couple of other posters who have them already, so what do you think?

Have you tried the RAW output from the camera yet?

Courier is in bound with it, so this thread is a bit pre-emptive. I am off to China tomorrow morning so as long as there are no courier shenanigans I will take some pics while there and try the raw output.

Anyway, mine has arrived and it is a mother. Unhelpfully Voda have sent a micro not nano sim so just off to find a voda shop.

It is a lovely piece of kit in terms of build quality. The 920 looks mini next to it

Well so far I am liking it very much. It feels quite thin compared to the 920 but their is no denying its size. Just getting set up now. The installation was pretty slick in terms of my microsoft account backing up all my stuff from my 920 to this phone.

I haven't done a huge amount yet, but first impressions are extremely good. It fits in a trouser pocket well enough. It is significantly thinner than the 920 and whilst obviously large feels good in the hand. The screen is utterly brilliant.

I've only taken a couple of quick snaps but so far very impressed with camera.

Any pics to compare this to say a Samsung galaxy s3

I have an S3 and a 920 I can take pics with. Will try to get to that later.

Having had it just over a week, I am very impressed. I was travelling in China and used it pretty intensively. Battery is way better than the 920. I like the size. It is thin as compared to the 920 and actually pretty manageable.

Spinstorm, why 2? Surely after the first one you would have realised it was not for you. Seems odd.

OK, will do. My wife is out with the sammie, will try and remember to do it, when she is back.

I honestly don't find it too big. It's big don't get me wrong but just doesn't feel out of place in my pocket.

I bought the Nokia cover that folds into a stand and that is a nice bit of kit. It bulks it out a bit but works well.

I am really happy with it, size is fie in pocket (I am not a big user of voice calls if I were then it may be too big), screen and user experience is brilliant and battery can stretch beyond 2 days

I have shattered glass thanks to my daughter, is Nokia repair best bet? Screen below working although getting a but confused around the most fragmented bit of glass.

Got phone back and have to say they've made a great job of it for £125.36. Screen looks good and they seem to have replaced the outer shell too cause the damage caused by the drop has gone.
Took around a week in total to send and recieve it back so not too bad, just updating now to 8.1

i had to abandon and wait to do it next week

I move next Tuesday and their system couldn't deal with returning it to a different address.

I will use Nokia though, it's cheaper than a quote I got from an independent

So I had my screen repaired (long after it happened for one reason or another) and a few weeks after I got the damn thing back I was sitting using it, but not even touching the scree (ie watching something) and I heard a tiny pop and the screen is shattered all over. Uniformly more or less rather than at one side as it was when it was dropped. Have just messaged the repair team that did it and hoping they will sort without fuss.

Nokia care have washed their hands of this entirely. I am really appalled by the service I have received by them throughout.
