i have ordered my white lumia 920 from t mobile myself.since you stated the rep said delivery should be monday, is that when they are despatching the phone or the day delivery should arrive.

they have told me 7-14 working days it should arrive :(

Seems like many who got given developer devices at shows have ebayed them. Meanwhile those who want to have a go at programming (there's no proper SID player for instance, I like my c64 tunes) struggle to get the phone.

It's no wonder most of the big time apps are written by Microsoft or Nokia. Their promise to have 46 of the top 50 apps probably means they're paying someone to do them or coding the apps themselves.

The said monday, BUT that was before they're in stock. I'll find out tomorrow and post what say.

I'm pretty sure NO dev has received a development phone, haven't seen one post about them on the dev forums.

They used to give out bucket loads of pre launch phones, but they don't seem to this time.

Writing apps is going to cost, I think it's $99 to register, although there might be a cheaper Nokia option. Symbian it was 1 euro and you could flood the store with utter crap. :/

There's been some on ebay. They have "development phone" in the version number in the about screen.

They offered cheap registration for $8 or 9 early on for a limited time. The $99 doesn't put me off, that's when you are ready to release something. It's the fact I need a Windows 8 machine.

Is the UPS option in the shipping options 'UPS Express'?
If so, how fast (after 1-2 days of shipping) do you estimate it'll be?
I need to order it and have it delivered to Staffordshire not later than the 14th. I don't live in the UK, my family is there, they are leaving on the 15th.
 
Just watching that vid made me think.
I assume then the power adapter that comes from Cyberport will be a 2 pin plug?

Don't bother, I just got an email and they said the expect supply by 13/11 . ****ing liars. I canceled it

If anyone manages to buy a sim free from phones4u and try it with a non ee/tmob/orange sim let me know how they get on please. Could save me a big detour on way home from work.
 
SO today is the day we might get one? Even though I swore I wouldn't out of bitterness, when I wonder to town at 9 if there is one I might buy it haha.

Check opening times as Phones4U open at 10am in my town. You don't want to be standing around for an hour.

Which one? I use the big charger not the new small plug style one.
 
Still can't believe no one actually has one of these in their hands yet...I keep popping in here every day just to see if anyones succeeded :p
