Back to using the 920 full time for work for a couple of weeks as the iPhone has a problem. I was quite impressed with the speech to text and how accurate it is until I just sent a text without looking what it had typed as assumed it had worked well all day.

I said "Cant plug my hard drive into an iPad"

It sent "C*ck slide my hard drive into an iPad"

How the heck did it get it so wrong?! The recipient was like WTF and this is a work phone so not too amusing. The words don't even sound similar.

Maybe you actually said it as you have feelings for this person? :p Pretty rubbish, but surely you check the message before sending it?!

I can see the funny side now. Took me a few glances at the screen to see what I was reading. Was replying to a text whilst driving so wasnt looking at the screen. Was a quick text so assumed it would be all OK :) Lesson learnt haha.

I do that often in my car, via bluetooth. It always reads back to you, did you not hear it to confirm or did you too heard it wrong? :p

Right guys my old 920 had firmware 1231.2110.1244.3011 before I sent it off to Nokia for repair.
Nokia couldn't fix it and sent me a replacement yesterday. The firmware on the replacement is 1232.5951.1249.1017
Does that mean it is the Portico firmware?

Looks like the portico build number, mines 1232.5951.1249.1004 (sim free UK) is yours a EE handset?

Phone played up again last night when I was trying to hang up after calling someone...going to contact EE for a replacement.

Yay!

I don't care about firmware, but Im praying that nokia replace my phone rather than attempting to 'fix' it again as if that is the case, Im returning it to Germany

Excellent choice on the network. :D:p

Agreed, VM is currently down so Im tethering and Vodafone are brilliant for that, they are not cheap, but they are the best

Phone is now borderline unusable due to this dodgy sensor :(

Going to EE store tomorrow, hopefully they'll just swap the handset.

My firmware number is: 1232.2110.1244.3003

Whats this then?

That's pre Portico firmware, you should be receiving a update shortly. Looking at that firmware it looks like a EE handset, which should be upgraded to 1232.5951.1249.1017.
