I use mine as a sat nav and even though its plugged into the fag lighter, or my battery box it still drains more than it charges and dies after a while...

Are you using a cheapo ebay charger? They vary in quality/charge times a lot.

Well it should be a 12v to 5v converter...

So to charge while using I need to be putting 5v into it, fair enough...


On a side note, Teamviewer is now available for WP8

You need a 2amp charger as the 1amp isnt enough.

The nokia one is a 2amp, I know griffin just released a 2amp mini one

Yeah mines 2.1a (not v, got the two confused) but when I have the phone on the dash using it as satnav and bluetoothing music to my headset the charging icon is on but the phone takes more than its charging and after a while it dies...

i read that the amber update will roll out in the coming days but i wonder, how can the standby screen work in phones without amoled screens? i thought only amoled screens can have this function

Bloomin heck, these WP8 apps are SUPER sandboxed. I'm a hobbyist dev tinkering about and I've never seen such a locked down OS. Which is awesome for the average user, but a ruddy pain for people like me.
