**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Thx kona I thought the same as the specs of the new card are the same as the specs really for the 128GB just its larger. Will give it a go and if not can always return it I guess thanks mate.

humm why do I feel they never had it in at £99.99 at this place I normally buy from mymemory and when I do a search for one they are in the £250 price range.... Do faster cards really work faster on a note 4 or do they hit the limits of the phones transfer speed ?

That's right, aslong as the phone supports SDXC, it should play nice with all cards upto 2TB.

£100 does sound a little too cheap. Will have to wait and see when they get stock.

Definitely seeing more of a drain on Lollipop than KK with my daily usage patterns. I'd normally be left with approx 80% by the time I get home. With Lollipop it is about 60% from what I've observed over the past few days. Mind you KK was rooted with bloat apps (see google) removed. I'm not good at reading android battery reports so does anyone see anything wrong with my one below?

Looks as though your phone is awake when it should be in deep sleep.

Try a reboot with a battery pull. Also go into wifi settings and turn of Google wifi always on thing.

And install cpu spy to monitor if it sleeps when screen is off.

Thinking of getting an Otterbox Defender for the phone. Anyone know if there's a shop which may have one on display or grab one to try. I want to have a look to see whether the added bulk will be restrictive for me. The phone's big enough as it is :D

Also looking for an hdmi cable to connect it to a 1440p monitor. Could anyone recommend one please?

Got my Note 4 today from Handtec and it came with the adaptive fast charger it was the SM-N910F Europe model. So just a heads up for anyone after one and wanting it with the adaptive charger. Was great service from them all items ordered came next day and all new items never opened and seals not broken on the phone box. Very happy with the purchase, just need a micro sim now and get my number moved over to it.

Was hoping someone would say that. It definitely seems that something is keeping the phone up as CPU Spy states that the phone has spent 52% of it's time at 300mhz and 26% in deep sleep. As you can see from the screen time, I only use it a few times during work hours for short periods during my breaks. A tad annoyed because I did a full factory reset for the OS too.

I've disabled a ton of apps/services. Not sure what you mean by google wifi on though. If I wasn't away from home this weekend I'd be quite tempted to roll back to KK.

hey guys!

So I currently have the S4 and have loved it! I'm due now for a upgrade, and thinking the Note 4, or the HTC M8, cant afford the £55pm for the newer HTC.

but really like the look and feel of the Note, not actually played on 1 for longer then 2 mins.

Just trying to get a feel of what you all think ?

Honestly if the M8 was your other choice I'd opt for the Note4. I don't even like Samsung phones but this thing just ticks all the correct boxes for me. Blazingly fast, great battery life (until I installed lollipop!), great camera for outdoor use and SD and removable battery support. Oh and a stylus for cleaning your ears :)

I upgraded from an S4 to a Note 4.

The size took a little while to get used to.
I've added a wireless charging back and my Tech21 case still fits.
The Tech21 case Finding a slip/pouch case with a belt hook took three attempts. I had to get one that was meant for a iPhone 6 plus/Galaxy Mega 6.3!
I had to modify my wireless car cradle as well.

My aging eyesight and shrinking arms like the size of the screen and the battery life is an improvement over my S4. I get about 2 days light use.

I picked up a Note Edge last night. I was all set to get a note 4 until I had a case of 'nobody wans to sell me one at a reasonable price' syndrome. three, who I was with were absolutly useless, even with the [genuine] threat of leaving them. they did nothing to try and keep me and their deals were bad. I tried a few others and their deals were also bad.

on my way, about to go home out I walked past at CPW with the note edge on - I knew about it already but I saw it and I was sold! so I decided to get some prices.

carephone warehouse were SO pushy, they were spoonfeeding me absolute BS an trying every trick in the book to get me to sign there and then; despite me refusing to take up their 'geek squad' service and let them take my phone and transfer all of my stuff there and then they insisted on doing so. I walked away in the end with the vodafone deal writen down. I sure regret not taking that 'today only deal'....naaaaaat

I went straight to vodafone downstairs and got the same tarif for much less money and took the phone away there and then. Vodafone have been terrible so far though I said I'd never go back with them and here I am and you would think they had never in their whole history used a PAC code to transfer a number - what a total mess!

Anyway, the phone is great. Samsung have matured a lot from times gone by I think which is why I always avoided them. my phone before this was the HTC one (m7) and before that was Nexus S.

I'm really likeing it so far. have no issues with the edge - only positives really. I like how it's an additional space, rather than a re-purposed space of the existing screen. THe phone it's self feels a little lighter / cheaper than the note 4 and I won't be able to get a fitted tempered glass protector for it but I'll just have to live with that.! ordered a UAG case for it.

this is about the least amount of thought I have EVER put into buying a phone. truly just about did it on a whim but I'm happy enough with it :)

Get the Note 4 or you will regret it, I was after the M8 and then the M9 till I heard all the problems with the M9 and decided to try out a Note 4 and got it today and so pleased I didn't get the HTC phones, even touch wiz is now a lot better than I ever remember it being and have no plans for custom roms for it and just really need the lollipop update. Also I can't live without a stylus on a phone, all previous phones had one or I added one, the S pen is fab apart from feeling a little cheap and it could have been made of metal partly as I know if it was all metal it wouldn't work. Apart from that all is good and I feel I made a great purchase and the right choice.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 32GB - Charcoal Black (SM-N910F) SM-N910FZKEATO 1 £391.49

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Battery 3,220mAh - Black/Silver EB-BN910BBEGWW 1 £11.49

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Screen Protector - 2 Pack ET-FN910CTEGWW 1 £5.49

Subtotal £482.55
Shipping & Handling £5.49
Tax £97.61
Grand Total £585.65

Above from Handtec.co.uk

and I also ordered a Zenus Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 GT-N7000 - Black from elsewhere because the original Samsung cases are horribly cheap and you have to remove the back to use them, which I don't like doing.

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/zenus-ma...ung-galaxy-note-4-diary-case-black-p48573.htm

So for £615 I got a lot for the money I feel, spare battery, spare charger, 2 screen protectors, 128GB fast SD card, leather case for almost the price they are trying to sell just the phone at most places or basically a HTC M9...
