**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

I've Downgraded to KK today. Went well and was surprisingly easy. I can't stop the annoying notification to upgrade though, but so far it's much better.

Got home from my weekend holiday yesterday and as said was going to put KK on once I got home. However over the weekend I noticed my battery life back to normal and the Note4's 'Awake' time was normal compared to how it used to be.

I haven't uninstalled any apps, nor have I disabled services. The only thing I did do was remove my external SD card in order to transfer videos to my girlfriends tablet and then I put the card back onto the Note4. How this could affect my unit's wake times (if it actually has) I can't understand just yet.

I'm back at work tomorrow so I'll keep an eye on things for a few days more. Glad to see you're back comfortably on KK again - slap Wanam Xposed on there sharpish! :)

You may have a corrupt SD memory card or some files are bad on it, that will cause some problems like lag and may even cause hanging of some programs that use the SD card and cause them to use more power.
 
I was dubious about the battery life on LP and after I stalling it looked to be draining fast. I performed a reset and it's been fine since, yesterday with moderate to high usage I managed 16 hours till I got to 10% left in the evening.
 
There was a bug in a google play services build that went out a couple of weeks ago that caused devices to never sleep due to a failure in the update service which would never release it's wake lock. Could have been that maybe.

You still have lots of wakelocks though.

Not sure what it is to be honest but if today's usage goes, I think my lollipop Awake issues may be over. My ext SD Card when plugged into my PC does cause Win7 to pop up 'your device is corrupted - fix?' dialogue box when it is connected but then it does the same for a few others too including my DSLR sdcard so I always ignore.

I'm sitting here having just got home with the battery sitting at 82% (on par with KK) and very little awake time. SoT so far is 1hr 19mins. CPU spy reports the phone to be sitting at 80% Deep sleep and 12% 300Mhz, whereas last week it was almost the reverse. Early days but I'll just monitor it from here now.

Does seem overkill unless they come with a free VR headset or something to showcase all those extra pixels but even then... why??
 
Managed to spill coffee all over the table earlier, including my Note!

Had a brief panic which included pulling the battery, drying everything with tissue, especially the charging port which required several carefully shaped tissue ends to try! Ended up giving it all a blast with a nitrogen gas line to dry it all out.

Put the battery back in and.... It's alive! Everything seems to work: charges, microphone(s), camera, speaker. Fingers crossed there's no permanent damage!

Anyone use UC Browser? It's being terrible recently and I don't know if it's the phone/LP or the app. Tabs frequently become unresponsive, or interactive elements on a page. Or the app itself just freezes and crashes. I experience these issues several times a day, shame because I really like UC.
