**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Thanks :)

Just the battery life to go in terms of how people are fairing with 5.1.1 before I switch from KK - though annoyed Samsung haven't sorted out the camera/gallery lag bug (mentioned in an earlier post). It's a tad silly it's still happening and the most annoying bug for me as I take a lot of pictures.

That's the one, really like it so far but beware it did go a little Rambo on me and disable some common features like MTP so the phone couldn't appear in My Computer on Windows. Easily fixed by enabling again.

I disabled things by hand rather than let it decide for me as it seems a bit too aggressive as you mentioned.

22 hours now since a full charge and a clean install of 5.1.1:

It definitely uses less RAM, about 0.5GB for my general usage. When I'm on a night shift I class myself as a power user and usually find myself needing a battery change/recharge by 11pm. 22 hours from taking it off charge and here is what it looks like:

This was with 4hours screen on time, I think I could have easily got over 5 hours SOT before requiring a charge. However... System and Google play services are never top of the list for me in the past, on 5.0.1 or 4.4.4 last week.

Does this second picture look ok to you? It reads like Google play services kept the phone awake for over an hour and I don't think it should be. Location services are on Power saving mode as always.

In general I like 5.1.1 a lot, it's snappier, a couple of nice fluid animations have crept in and the multi tasking page has massively improved from the lagging mess it was before. So far, thumbs up from me, it's at least on par with 4.4.4 for me in terms of battery time and IMO it looks a bit nicer.

Any one heard of an Xposed module called MobileRadioActiveFix, meant to fix the >5.0.1 radio bug.

yep, heard of it but my note 4 isnt rooted, have you tried it?

shame it needs xposed module to fix an issue that Google should have fixed ages ago!

Thanks!
I wonder why none of the roms seems to have wondered over to XDA yet.
Even a simple rooted, de-bloated stock rom based on 5.1.1

No doubt soon it'll happen.

I don't know the full reason why, but Echoerom will never appear on XDA....there was some issues and Friedrich420 (echoerom dev) pulled it.

Its one of the best roms going through. They do great work. I use there custom Kernel on my stock rom and its great. Overclocked to 3.1 too for some extra juice if you need it.
I was tempted to try there s6 edge ported to the note 4 rom but really don't feel like wiping everything.
