**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Also got a update this morning, was already running latest lolipop 5.1.1, so not sure what it's done, think it said something about battery optimisation and some other stuff.
Anyone got a list of the update?

Here you go:

It typically happens more often on days I watch things (compared to heavy browswing and/or GPS usage) on the way to work/back home. Using Greenify, unfortunately not Package Disabler as it doesn't work with this ROM and brightness around 40%. On a very bad day I would expect 4 hours minimum.

However I have just installed Snapchat for the nth time and keeping a careful eye on it as it has previously rinsed my battery.

I've just bought a Galaxy Note 4, i've come from a Note 3.

I can't comment on the performance as ive not had it long enough to give a proper opinion, the screen though looks stunning and the colours are superb.

I wonder who at Samsung thought it was a great idea to put the speaker on the rear of the phone, most of the time a phone will be laid flat on a desk or table which then muffles the sound when the phone rings and makes it a lot quieter.

I just wonder what goes through the minds of some of these so called designers in top jobs and how it then gets approved by management as that has to be one of the worse, if not the worse place you could position a mobile phone speaker.

Can any one shed light on my annoying bug? Gmail randomly removes additional accounts for no reason. If I add my Outlook or work account, a couple of days later it's just gone from Gmail. I cannot work out why

I know it doesn't really answer your question and I'm sure there's a simple explanation but have you thought about using a different email app? I've been using K-9 Mail for the last few years. Have several accounts set up and haven't really encountered any issues. It's feature rich and free too!

I used K-9 years ago, can't remember why I stopped using it. Got so used to Gmail now and the problem has only started recently. I will give it a go :)

Any one use Snapchat? Recently installed it and my battery at 100% says I have around 10-11 hours of charge left, used to be nearer 20 hours not long ago.

Have just flashed what I thought was the BTU version of 5.1.1 but not sure if it was. Now have the following info about device......

Baseband N910FXX1COJ3

Build LMH47X.N910FXXU1COJ3

Is this right?

The only difference I can see on my phone is it reads LMY47X. at the start of the build number, other than that it looks fine.

After using the Note 4 for a couple of weeks now i'm really happy with it, the speaker being on the back is not ideal but it didn't take me long to not even think about that.

I've come from a Note 3, you can really tell the difference in speed. The Note 3 is a great phone in it's own right and it's very quick, the Note 4 is definitely quicker and a step up. The screen on this is stunning, again that's another big step up from the Note 3, that had a great screen but the screen on the Note 4 is really great.

Well......looks like the btu has borked my signal. Sat next to Mrs S who is getting full bar H+ here and I am down at 1. Would expect full as we are 100m from the O2 mast. Bit more scientific is my signal level is -111dbm 1asu hspa and Mrs S is -105dbm 4asu hspa.....oh joy. Can see this being last Sammy for me and changing in 12 months when my contract is up.....or sooner if I get some cash to pay off the phone portion.
