**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Date has changed from 17th to 10th though :)

Was concerned that my Vodafone upgrade date was 2016 so it said online but phoned them up and they changed it to upgrade now yay :cool: can't wait nothing else I'd consider
 
Missed the samsung deal :( I signed up for them to notify me too!

Anyone know when three will have pre orders up? I'd like this on the one plan.

edit: apparently EE has better signal indoors due to higher frequencies?

Not sure if I should pre order on EE now or just wait for more special offers, unless the samsung deal is the only one that is going to come about.

I was quite excited about this phone, that wavered during the presentation and seems to waver a little more each day that goes by. I think they should have done an Apple and launched much sooner after the presentation on the 4th. I hope the battery is better than the above, Apple have done a good job with the battery life in the new iPhones and Sony have done an even better job.

A decent batterylife test will come from Anandtech. Places like GSMArena aren't really a benchmark, as they don't even set equal screen brightness on each of their devices. Not clever as the screen is the biggest drainer of a smartphone.

Add to that, firmware updates usually bring improvements too. I have no doubts that the Note 4 will have all day batterylife...and then some.

Should get a nice bump with Android L I would imagine :)
 
What is there to wait and see? Android L will improve battery life on whatever handset it's on.
 
Why do Samsung insist on that horrendous fake leather plastic back?? At least they have got rid of the even more vile fake plastic stitches.

Shame as I'm sure the note 4 is a good phone otherwise.
