**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

And the Edge has a slightly lower capacity battery (3000mAh opposed to 3220 mAh if i recall clearly)

Is that it? I thought it'll be slightly lower speced. Might just add it in to my list.

Just need to make my mind up between note 4 or Edge or N6.

It's time to move from Apple. iPhone 5 has done me well for over 2 years now.

Had to let my Note 4 go, some unexpected car bills came up, gutted but I will get another when the time is right, but by then I'm not sure what else would be out.

Back to the S5 camp for now

Had a really strange issue with my phone this morning, I received a call and when I answered I couldn't hear anything, neither could the other person hear me so I wasn't sure whether it was my phone or theirs. We tried connecting 2-3 times, first they rang me, then I rang them etc same issue.

I've just now tried ringing my wife to check whether it was my phone, and it was. I can't hear anything, neither can she hear. I've restarted the phone and it's now working fine again.

Mines been doing that

I've been getting some erratic charging and discharging, on the fast charger it's all okay but on a car charger it seems to charge well or just keep it topped to where it was when it was on charge, I'm using Play Music so I don't know if that's using a lot of power, Index Service seems to be using a great deal of power and requires force stopping. It might be because I'm using the SD card straight out my note 2.

Had something similar on my S5 but only the once.

Finally got hold of mine, went into CPH and bought a sim free black model. Not really any bigger than my GNII, squarer edged maybe and nicer in the hand. Already installed Nova Launcher and all the usuals. Cant wait to get it home tonight to have a play.

Well my Moto X 2014 arrived today and i'm smitten with it, so the Note 4 will be up for sale this week.

I found the Note just a little too big to be usable for me, but do appreciate what an awesome handset it is.

My GS3 decided to properly die today so picked one up after work (in white, come at me :p). Though the girl transferred my number to a nano sim so I don't have a usable phone right now. :/ But meh it's time to play.

You have issues there cathain. Display should be at the top of the list. Seems like your phone is not sleeping as it should. Rouge app or service.

Not sure what to make of battery life. I can get a day and half out of it with moderate usage but 3 hrs screen on time seems a bit meh?

Very similar issue to what I've been having.

I was getting a little under 2 hours screen on time, during around 15 hours of off-charge time. Several factory resets later, and disabling of all possible apps and services I'm no closer to figuring out the issue!

Getting a replacement handset tomorrow to see if that fixes it.

Why not install Gsam monitor and leave it a day or two then take note of the average breakdown of what is consuming battery? It's really the best way to gauge battery consumption in a non rooted environment.

Got mine on saturday eventually and am loving it so far.

Went for white  which I actually like..at the moment. They did say that I could exchange for a black one in the 14 day period too, so will see how I get one.

Have not been using it as have been waiting for my number port to happen, which should be today, so will be able to see how the battery life is in normal use, but in the light use it has had since saturday is unbelievable.

Am alos very impressed with the feel of the phone too. Feels very nice in hand and also not as heavy as the Note 2 that it is replacing.
