**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

With my S4 you have to sign in and activate the S Health app including the pedometer. Is there not a stop button within the app? You will be running a newer version of S Health though. Keen to know how battery it actually drains.

. Just plonked a 32GB SDCard into my unit and completely forgot about KitKat blocking writing to external cards. Now I really do have to root :(

Tell me about it ! One of the stupidest things ever.
I'm hoping the next version (lollipop) changes this, but I'm not holding my breath.

I only really use my SD card for photos from the Note4, still seems to be working ok for me.

So far my Note4 is sitting at 1d 20hrs with 4hrs 25min SoT time. Battery is sitting at 12% so far. Such a big difference from my Find5. Just plonked a 32GB SDCard into my unit and completely forgot about KitKat blocking writing to external cards. Now I really do have to root :(

It's possible to work around the issue for most things.

What exactly do you want to do?

EE won't provide you with an unlock code for 6 months. Nothing stopping you getting it unlocked yourself though.

I know Lollipop fixes this write deny thing with external cards but what I've done is the following.

In the DCIM folder located on my SD Card, I've thrown a huge amount of old phone images in named folders. I use the app Quickpic as my gallery app and this picks them up and displays them accordingly - no problem. However I cannot delete these images from within quickpic as I get this error message.

The only real way is to do this is remove sd card and do the job on the PC. Basically I have to root the phone, and install one of the many SD Card fix apps on the playstore but I don't want to root just yet...the pressure is mounting though.

I've got a similar thing set up. Each app is allowed one folder, in SD/Android/Data/AppNameHere, so what I did was to copy the files I wanted into that folder, they'll still be picked up by galleries, but you can then delete them if you need to.

What is the consensus on the use of a screen protector on this.

Yay or nay? Anyone going without able to comment on the screen and scratches?

Last night I applied a new tempered glass protector, seems a little better than the last, better coverage of the buttons at least.

Only £3.89 too. (Link in video description)
