**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

I did have the 1440p youtube working before but since I updated my firmware I cant get it working now no matter how many times I try. Ill just wait till android 5.0 lol.

got an issue with the note 4.

When i unplug the device from the charger, the phone makes the standard beep sound when you first connect your device to charge on the usb socket.

It makes that beeping sound once every 2 seconds constantly? I have to turn the phone off and take out the battery for the charging sound to dissapear.

Anyone had this issue before?

Is this during charging or afterwards?

Bloody OCD has kicked in, I've ordered a Spigen Neo Hybrid case and Spigen screen protectors but i'm worried the case is going to scratch the aluminium bezel.

Certain Spigen cases scratch the bezel but I'm not sure about the Neo Hybrid.

Has anybody got this case and report any scratches to the bezel please?

afterwords. it happened once during charge when i woke up fully charged and it kept connect and disconnecting the charging on it and also gave me wrong battery readings at that time. said it was 80% but never went past it.

I did a reboot and it was at 100% but the connect and disconnect charge sound still occured and i had to pull the battery out and insert it again.

a simple reboot does not work.

I've seen reports like this on other phones when people were not using the supplied charger and the generic charger they were using was not giving enough power to charge properly.

Also go settings, accessibility, vision and make sure notification reminder is set off. :)

Don't you start! I've got the Slim Armour Spigen and I'm already paranoid about it. I only use the case because of the protruding camera :/

Android 5.0 is seen in the wild on a Note 4:

Apologies if this has already been covered, I've came to the party late!

Stripe-Gate anyone? How on earth did the black strips above the capacitive buttons get past QA/QC??

They make it look like there are rows of dead LEDs, good job I always turn off the backlight else I'd be rather miffed!

Still miffed - NLED has it too. Duh! Samsung.

O the generic charger i used is a fast charger one :)

I wont lie, much as I love my Note 4 I'm noticing lag more often than something with these specs should. I'm rooted with Xposed, is there anything I can change to improve things? Is it just me?

I normally notice it most when I'm using Google Maps for navigation, but also using Hangouts can seem a little laggy.

did you do the thing suggested on the XDA forums for people who are used Wanam Xposed? It introduces lag but there was something you needed to untick to get rid of it.

This:

Its Wanam Xposed, under "Security" tab and checkbox "Disable Secure storage" and/ or used XSecureStorage module.

also:

Briefly had the same problem. The disable secure storage inside of wanam didn't work for me, but doing it manually did. Not sure if you know how to do it, but here it is for you and/or anyone who finds this via search.

Uninstall Wanam and Xposed Framework
Reboot
Edit build.prop from "securestorage.support=true" to "securestorage.support=false"
Clear data on 'S-Health' app (another issue that you may not have seen yet from this same problem)
Reboot
Reinstall Xposed framework and wanam
Reboot

This should remove the lag and also allow S-Health to work correctly, should you use it.

There is also a "XSecureStorage" module you can install for xposed that should do the same thing, but I didn't try that route, since the component of Wanam didn't work for me. If you go that route, would be interested in your results. Good luck!

Thanks very much. I thought something didn't seem right. I've tried the first step. I already make securestorage.support=false as I couldn't install anything before hand.

I wont be using the Note 4 for the next week or so, reviewing the OnePlus One, so will have to wait to see if it's better :)
