I have him in too, cant see him getting played before Agger or Skrtel but will probably still get a bit of playing time

As for RVP, he'll score plenty on goals. But £14M im going to past on it. There are a few strikers out there that will actually get goals. Just need to pick the rights ones.

As much as this is true and they are a few more goalscorers out there, I cant see many getting as many as RVP.

I mean....
Man city once again have 4 world class strikers and will use them in rotation
Arsenal only really have Giroud as Podolski hasnt been played in the centre really.
Chelsea have a few good options, but no body really knows how mourinho is going to play.
Liverpool have suarez banned for the first 6 games, and whos taking his place until then.

At the moment I'd say RVP is the best bet, even with the £14m price tag
 
I need to find out about Mourinho and Lampard...I mean, he could be a bargain at 8m, but will he play? Chelsea have bought in a lot of midfielders, but I know Jose likes him

Mourinho has came out and said Lampard will be nothing but a fringe/back up player this season. Still probably get double figures in goals but better of looking somewhere else

Of course RVP will be the best option to go for.

As for strikers you've got a good hanfull there.

Liverpool - have Sturridge who will get goals for them.
Chelsea - I can see Lukaku starting for them, unless Chelsea go out and buy another striker.
Arsenal - Yup its only Giroud
City - Yup 4 good strikers. They will be rotated.

I can see Rodgers playing sturridge in a wingers role this season, I have Aspas upfront from them too.
I agree with Soldado, only came in from work earlier and hadnt realised it had went through today.
Berbatov I cant see scoring many this season, and I think they know this too and thats why they want another striker.
Same with cisse too.

I mean we all have our personal opinions, and along with choosing "the best" players, its also a lot of luck with finding some cheap gems. I mean how many people last year would have even thought about Michu, then this season he will be quite popular, all about taking risks
 
Dzeko has been hinted as being a regular player, if so he could be a bargain. There are other strikers that might deliver much greater value than RVP, as in overall for your team you can afford much better players throughout if you were to drop RVP. I think if you chose wisely you could easily make more points from a better overall team, particularly with one of 5 decent AM's.

As for Sturridge, I think he is too expensive. Aspas is a good price. Lampard isn't going to play regularly. Lukaku could be a good punt at least for the first few games particularly with Chelseas DGW in GW1. Michu won't offer as much value this season, look at his price tag compared to last year. Picking Arsenal goal scorers for the first part of the season might be a good strategy as they have an easy stretch of games. Suarez might be one to watch with potential move there too.
 
Lampard is a good one to keep in mind if an injury pops up during the season, or if you know he is going to play a game, especially if he doesn't play much and goes down in price a bit. If it was hinted that he would start a game, I would probably look to him as my transfer for the week most times...as it is, at 8m he would be my joint least expensive midfielder(apart from one filler) so I could swap him in anytime!
 
I usually pop for Howard, but with Moyes gone, you can't be confident in the Everton defense anymore tbh. Martinez isn't exactly known for his defence!

Coming from a newcastle fan, please dont trust Krul.

Ive went for cech, mainly for the reason that Chelsea have 2 games in the first week and both against "weak" teams, but after that il probably going for Szczesny or Mingolet

Mignolet for value and a cheap keeper like Boruc for sub. Both will play regularly but I don't want to spend too much money on the 2nd keeper just to have him on the bench.
 
Swapped in Bony after his two goals today.

Starting lineup is currently:

Mignolet
Baines - Mertesacker - Invanovic
Michu - Snodgrass - Walcott - Hazard
Bony - Lambert - Lukaku

Subs - Davis, Garrido, Britton, McNaughton

Any thoughts?
