No I agree, I was just stating that I expected him to be that price with him being on par with the 2 strikers Man City, but if your spending that on him he is more than likely going to be your key striker, AVB does like defoe who has been scoring a few in pre-season so he isn't a definite starter

He is entering the PL with the same stats as RVP. His price is exactly as expected (shame it wasn't lower of course :D ) Looks likely he is going to be everyones 1st choixe though

Just thought of a problem. Can you set up different team for different leagues?

Right fellow Gooners.

I have set up a h2h league open only to OCUK Arsenal fans. I know there are a few and it dont take 5 minutes to enter a team so hopefully we will see a few entries.

You have to enter the same team as the other leagues, so for that reason, you don't have to have a minimum number of Arsenal players in your team. Being fans though, I'm sure most will have at least 1. I have 2 :)

The code for the league is: 530273-277446

I hope OCUK spirit will prevail and only genuine Arsenal fans will put their teams in. If you support another team, then there's nothing stopping setting your own up.

Please tell me if you feel this deserves it's own thread and I am intruding on this one.

Yeah well I've actually put him in my team over RVP, Man U arent playing well in preseason and have Swansea first game so tricky tie, Put Santi Cazorla in too now

With Bale not going now it looks like Soldado is an excellent choice for scoring goals this season :)

I'm pretty certain Caz won't be starting in GW1. I'd look to any of the following...

Hazard, Walcott, Mirrallas (cheap!), Gerrard, Yaya Toure, Silva

New OCUK Arsenal League

Right, I have deleted the Arsenal league from yesterday and set up a new one. It's open first to OCUK Arsenal fans and you will need to trust email me for the code. There's many on here such as GoonerLeroy and Cliffy G who I know full well are Arsenal fans, and a quick trawl through the football banter thread should weed out any pretenders. If we get to about 8 or 9, then I may consider letting someone else in to bring up the numbers.

As this will be more secure, I feel it safe to offer a prize as long as there are a minimum of 10 people in the league. I can't say what the prize is yet as technology changes so quickly and it wont be presented until the end of May.

I'll leave it to you. But like I said, there must be a minimum of 10 players.

I'm doing this to inject a bit of fun into my currently boring life, and also, I hate 200+ team leagues. It's nice to know you have a decent chance.

I'm always **** poor at fantasy football but have re-registered for a laugh - Barratt FC :)

I've done the Sky one as well so have tried to choose different players to give it a bit of variation:
