Is it just me or are there far less responses than usual?

I can't be bothered to find the thread from last year but i swear they got to 7-8 pages (with posts per page at the maximum setting).

Either way, some very cool presents!

I did read some reviews of Botta and all were good.

One of these - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-064-DE&groupid=17&catid=949&subcat= from the other half :)

Scratching my head over the HDMI input though. Plug it in VGA it's perfectly fine, plug it in HDMI it adds a massive black border around the edge of the screen. Think I know what it is (ATI Catalyst issue) but still irritating!

Catalyst Control Centre > My Digital Flat-Panels > Properties (Digital Flat-Panel) > Enable GPU Scaling and set it to Scale image to full panel size. That should work :)

Posting cash amounts seems a bit vulgar to me :o But if you're happy with what you're going to do with it, enjoy!

I got a few nice bench t-shirts from my parents in law.

Got a few lego sets (yes, I am a manchild) and various bits and pieces from my wife.

For me it's more about the giving. Especially trying to surprise people.

My wife and I had agreed to not spend much on each other this year. I'm a bit of a flake anyway, so I played that up, said that I'd only got a couple of little bits, and made sure she noticed when a couple of things arrived from a popular channel islands online retailer.

We don't have much time apart at home, so it's difficult to go out shopping on my own without making obvious I'm buying for her. Eventually she went out shopping with her friend while I was terribly laid up in bed with a hangover. The moment she shut the door, up I get and straight into town. Don't get me wrong, didn't go and spend my way to victory, but went to a jewellers in town and picked up a nice little necklace, as well as some chocolates and a "wife" Christmas card, as we got married this year.

So we're at her parents house for Christmas, I come down with very obviously just 3 presents and ask where they go under the tree. I ask her again to make sure, that she's ok that I haven't got her much for Christmas. She's not thrilled but says it's fine, we'll just go shopping in the sales. The next day, I make sure the necklace is left until last.

First present she gets from me is a Keith Lemon calendar. She hates it, but is laughing along with her family. Perfect. Second present, the hotel chocolat chocolate bar. She likes it, but it's not exactly amazing, is it? Lastly, a 90s dance compilation CD. This is thoughtful, she likes it but again, it's just a CD.

So she looks kind of bored when the last present is finally handed out, and she looks at me like I'd hoped. She knew at that point I must have got her something nice. Opened it and she loves it. Then she hits me - the ultimate sign that I've got it right and beaten her in Present Wars 2012.
