Well, if you have just gone over to O2 4G you will find that it will not switch to 4G.
It appears that a patch is required to switch it on:

I was wondering why I couldn't get the signal. A short term solution is to download Battery Monitor Widget:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.bmw&hl=en
Go tests/device info and set preferred network type to LTE/GSM
I now have 4G and lets hope the patch appears asap.
