Can you not just turn those keyboards off in input settings?

Yes - initially.

But sooner or later the pesky notification will re-appear asking you to choose which input method (keyboard) you want to use. I've tried varying it between both google and samsung keyboards but the notification always returns!

Bit of an annoyance here.

I've selected the default Google Keyboard for use. Every now and then (2-3 times a day) when using the Keyboard, I will get a notification, asking me to select between the Samsung, Google Voice, or Google Keyboard. I need to select one each time for the notification to disappear.

Has anyone experienced this and if so, is there any resolution?

That annoys me too and there is no fix, even if you just use the Samsung keyboard the input selector still appears. Must be a bug.

Another annoyance is the notification sound when you plug in the charger. If you use a wireless charger it stops changing when the battery gets to 100%, fine but its changers again after a few seconds, so the notification noises keeps sounding. I was woken up in the middle of the night as my phone kept beeping at me.

I need get it rooted to fix these issues, first phone I had for awhile which hasn't been rooted and man... I didn't realises there where so many ads in all the apps and websites.

Have you tried turning off google voice typing?

USB type c would have been the one, but for whatever reason they didn't use it. Samsung have produced USB 3 phones before after all, but the connector was considered too large so they reverted back to USB 2 after that.

I'll be rooting it when I get home with CF-Root. I need Greenify to work automatically and those pesky system apps.

Type C is the one. Hopefully the note 5 will be packing.
So clean and simple with no faffing about on which way to insert it.

Root worked perfectly, xposed doesn't work with Samsung ROMs at they moment which is a shame. Frozen all the rubbish I don't need, titanium back up is a god send. Deleted the Samsung keyboard so I no longer get the keyboard notification, wahey!
