Just seen the host on Samsung Unpacked turn the screen off, it sort of wipes into black from both edges, that's pretty cool looking!

The older ones always worked like that, but when I got my S2 (and now S4) I just assumed it wouldn't work when switched off...

Didn't the Galaxy Edge get poor reviews because the curved screen and edge features were dubbed a gimmick? Now all of a sudden they are amazing on this new phone? Non-expandable memory or fixed batteries are no longer an issue either apparently

It does look nice though in the pictures, but I'm not convinced these fall away curved screens will last as a standard feature for years to come, just a phase to show off.

Don't panic you won't be late for work if you switch the phone off why not just put it on silent and on charge? It's what I do. The alarm definitely still goes off. (y)
