Greetings fellow simmers & flight enthusiasts,
I created a similar thread many years ago for FSX screenshots & tips and it was suggested to me I should see if there is enough interest in setting up a similar thread but for the newest Flight Sim, MSFS 2020:
1) Screenshots, LIMIT of 10 shots per post please! Perhaps showing off your latest addon(s) of new aircrafts/airports/locations etc, any screen shots you feel want to share of your home town or house, those picturesque shots during dawn/dusk/unusual weather, or just screen shots you feel are good enough to share with fellow simmers, just post the links in this thread with perhaps a short description.
2) You can post any resolution but do state what the original resolution was, do please mind the file size keep that within reason, although most online photo storage site will usually compress your uploaded photos to a reasonable size anyways, so I don't think that will be an issue, but still mind it please.
3) I personally prefer raw/unedited screen shots taken directly from the sim, but there are some very talented people out there who can do some wonderful edited screen shots, so anything you wish to share/post, feel free to do so just state that your screen shots are edited please. (even if its just a sharpening filter)
4) Feel free to post any video clips you capture from the sim, although considering how much of a resource hog this new sim is, it will be challenging to get a smooth capture from this game but certainly worth a try.
5) Tips, as this new sim matures in time, I will have no doubt people will find useful links or tips regarding better performance, or addons/tweaks that are worth sharing with other simmers. Hopefully, like it was with FSX, there will be plenty of new freeware aircraft/tools created for this sim in due time. So feel free to post should you find something worth sharing.
6) Comments/suggestions/questions & replies to posts are welcome, but please make them constructive and/or positive.
7) No loitering and definitely NO TRAIN or BOAT simmers allowed in here
8) Enjoy the view, tips & comments in this thread.
So let me kick start this thread with both a useful tip and a few unedited screen shots taken from the sim.
PS Will try to keep useful tips in the first post updated. If you have any to share, just let me know in a post.
Tip; Some of you, like myself, may have bought many addons for other sims like FSX. One of the biggest and best producers of airport scenery would be Orbx. They have recently announced that people who have bought scenery from them before and might be buying the same scenery in the new MSFS 2020, then you will get 40% discount, as long as you have proof, check out the thread here. https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/198113-first-products-announced-for-microsoft-flight-simulator/ at this point in time, I believe the only scenery from them that is available in the MSFS 2020 marketplace is Innsbruck (LOWI) but there is more to come in time.
