The Official 'Show us your Wii' thread

WOO! Parcelforce have just delivered mine :D

They told me yesterday that if it didn't turn up Friday then it wouldn't go out until Monday, but the driver said they had such a backlog they have sent loads of vans out on overtime today.

However I have been sent Monkey Ball instead of Zelda, should I keep it or return it? I have no idea what its like?

Vixen, is that a Ethernet to USB adaptor you are using? I have been trying to find out about these as I don't have wireless. In fact I don't have a Wii yet.....thanks Parcelforce :(

Nope, we've got a wireless router. If you can see an ethernet cable, it's for the 360, and the thing on the gamecube is the wavebird adapter.

It's pretty easy getting hold of Wii games I went out yesterday walked straight into my nearest game console store and purchased two controller gloves, a numchuk, classic controler, Wii Play with Wiimote, 2000 Wii ponts and Zelda.

What I'm getting at is if Monkeyball is worth keeping and I'm sure it is getting you hands on other games such as Zelda shouldn't be a problem.

Well i got the console, but my prediction came true, i didn't get any of the software i wanted (Zelda, red steel, wii play or my wii points)

And to top it all off my Nintendo wifi usb access point is broken so i cant get online.

Its OK, looks a lot like an xbox game but with better character models, also alittle bit of bump mapping would have went a long way with this game.

The controls for shooting in the game do work tho Ive got the sensitivity up to high. You have 2 type of controls one is like all the videos you have seen and the other is PC like were the screen is fix to the cross-hair, both work but you need to get used to them.

The lack of online multi player really hurts this game and from what i can tell its isnt wide screen

Yeah it doesn't seem like it is the best use of the Wii's power but then again most multi format game are not gonna be because developers are gonna be lazy and just port the PS2 version if they can get away with it.
Multiplayer was lacking because Nintendo haven't got online play up and running yet (no excuse for this, they have had plenty of time to get a decent system implemented).
It should be widescreen... is there an option on the Wii that needs to be turned on or in the game? I thought it was 480P (with component) & widescreen. I sure hope PAL isn't different to the NTSC version, don't want to go down that route again.

Well i chose widescreen in my wii set up but its on a standard tv, not an hd one.

is anybody else having troble registering on nintendovip.com? it's not sending me an activation email

Took hours yesterday, I think it's with people getting theirs today or starting to discover a bit more about it that they are getting a hammering.

I got this too, I've never played a COD game before and don't like FPS (game is a present for my brother).

Bloody hard is what I think of it, especially driving.

Does anyone know if the Wii works with Freeloader/NTSC GC games?
Because if it does, its great news, means i can unhook my GC and just have the Wii there.

J did you manage to get a hold of a component cable ?

Yes and no.

Pre-ordered and it wasn't until about 1 hour before the Wii game that the "Order Status" had changed on my pre-orderer to say it wasn't coming, even though it said despatched.

Someone from another forum managed to buy two in a shop, so I bought one from him, he posted it yesterday but unfortunately hasn't come today so will have to wait until monday now.

That's the only problem at the mo, the graphics on the 2407 are awful, although playing it in Picture by picture mode (thus reducing the screen) makes the graphics better! lol

Reports suggest it does indeed work mate. :) Found a video of someone showing it working too - CLICK HERE

I know Action Replay v1.06 works on a US Wii to load Japanese games. Don't have any PAL ones. Progressive 480p works too.
