Surprised there wasn't a thread already! So, what are you having and give us some before and afters.

It's our first time hosting Christmas and we've got my mum and the other half's mum and nan so we've gone for the traditional turkey. Got it from a local butchers from a local free range farm, 11lber in the end. Looks lush!

So before:

And the after will obviously be coming tomorrow ;)

Ours is buried in the fridge right now, so can't really take a picture of it. Its a turkey crown bought from Morrisons. Theres only the 3 of us, so a full sized turkey would really just be a waste. The butchers at the supermarket did stuff it for us though and dress the top of it with bacon, at no extra charge! Looks lovely :)

Turkey crown from the local butchers with sage onion and garlic pork stuffing wrapped in streaky Bacon sitting on a bed of onions with excess stuffing in balls on the side

Very little seasoning and no butter as my milk intollerant 10month old is joining us at the table

Not my preferred method but its in the oven set to come on in the morning, having 2 children means quality isn't the most important thing but it should still hopefully turn out nicely as its our first Christmas at home as a family of 4.

Ill try post a done photo but it depends if I remember to get one.

Three bird roast for us with a lattice of bacon on top, fancied a change from a whole turkey that gets slung a few days after.

Came home from the pub last night to find that my dog had helped herself to our turkey!

Fortunately we had a pork joint in the freezer so had to leave that to defrost over night, and are now having that instead :p

Ooooooh thats gotta make you livid! :(

I remember when we had a cat she got hold of our turkey one year. Thankfully she only managed to eat one of the legs before we caught her.

My mother didn't know whether to laugh or cry :p

The dog had managed to pull the bird off the desk in the garage and dragged it onto the garden so she was comfortable :p
