Ive just come back from work and looked on steam and saw sin episode one was ready to buy for about $19 so ive just gone and got it. Im currently preloading it along with the free copy of the original sin and sin multiplayer :)

Anyone else really excited about this, i just cant wait, the graphics look much more improved than halflife 2 and the gameplay looks really fun.

Also how much is $19 in english pounds about £13?

EDIT: just realised theres going to be 9 episodes all together

Went to pre-load it for release on May 9th but got two errors:

- The servers are overloaded
- I don't have enough free space (have 1GB on D: which surely should be enough but there you go!)

lol :D

Works out at about £11.50, which tbh is more than I usually pay for games these days. (I'm tight, and get most games on special offer or second hand.) I've got fond memories of Sin though, so I've been looking forward to this. Might even put my hand in my pocket.

Ginga

Oooh, this looks quite interesting. One question though, do you have to pay for each episode or is the price for all of them?

each episode, but there probably going to be the same price so about a £10 if you buy it when its 10% off.

Each episode is supposedly meant to have 3-6 hours of gameplay so if your really bad at fps or just want to take your time it would take 54 hours to complete the whole series  :)

was really looking forward to this but if its a tenner an episode....

does no one think its down right crazy at this price. over £100 for the full 9 episodes.

at least buy me a drink first if your gonna bend me over and **** me up the arse

Just think of it this way, if it comes out in episodes there going to be very good as the steam team are going to be concentrating on just 3-6 hours of gameplay so there going to very good....i hope ;)

Actually, thinking about it the price isn't too bad. People who play mmo's like EVE or WOW have to pay a sub every month so technically that's what we'd be doing with sin episodes, paying an amount every so often to keep playing. Look like I'll be pre-ordering this when I get home then :D

Ive just been playing my free copy of sin1 and boy does it bring back memories. I actually never had the game, just the demo and i thought that level was amazing and today it still is. Im currently on level 2 and im stuck a bit :p

I was just gonna say is it a sequel to the original SiN game... Cool... :)

I just hope they dont do like they have done with Shenmue... Plan lots of episodes and only get chance to do a couple... Making it completely pointless....

Getting around 300k/s here

Nope, takes 2.35GB of disk space(or at least that's the size of the *.gcf files it creates), the the pre-load will probably be in stages like the HL2 pre-load.

I just hope we aren't going to have the same CC debarcle as when ragdoll kungfu was launched, and it wouldn't let you re-use the same card as you had used for the HL2 purchase
Now where is my CC ?

I've just paid for the pre-order, wasn't going to, but just won a tenner on the lottery, so will use that :)

Didn't realise the original game was going to be coming with it... now that should be interesting, especially if it runs on Steam and works, with a bug fix or two.

I will be updating the SteamFAQ tonight with the relevant details on the SiN stuff.

Apparently it works just like HL1 Source does. And you get it straight away.

It's just the game, on its original engine, no Source stuff. Had a quick go at it :)
