The official Sin episodes thread

I loved Sin (the original), so quite excited by this one, should be pretty nice. Hopefully it won't be too short and it'll be replayable.

The varying skill level things looks very interesting.

has anyone had ago at downloading the sin steam skin i cant seem to get it to work.

I heard somewhere probably on this thread :p that episode 2 will have multiplayer and drivable vehicles :)
 
Unlocked and played the first bit :D

Then I died :( Got sent back quite a way too :(

However the headshots are still as great as the original game :D Blade needs to speak more though - he was badass :>
 
this game is great i just started after simpsons finished im currently escpaing from facility as its blowing up with monsters everywhere ill continue tomorrow after work :)
 
The usual steam bull whenever a new title is released the service cannot cope. I cant even get to the purchase page let alone try and download the damn thing - which will probably be so damn slow. I think I will give this one a miss. I will wait another 4 years untill online media content becomes viable. The porn industry are the only ones who have got their act together.
 
lol, I totally forgot about this, If I hadn't have looked at this thread I probably wouldn't be playing it till after the weekend :p :o

Well, it's always going to happen at this rate. Solution? Be patient and don't try unlocking / buying the second the game is released, as there's always going to be a wait. You're giving it a miss just because you can't wait a few more minutes?
 
You really need to preload if you want to play it on release, after it unlocks you have to get 15mb of data over steam and the transfer rates were 30kb at best where as normally I get 600-1000, trying to download the whole game when everyone is trying to unlock theres would take forever.

I have played the game for an hour and I really like it, the graphics are mint and the story looks to be quite solid, nice bit of humour in it too, the only bad thing is the game has proved to me that I really do need a extra gb of ram, lol.
 
Well actually 'embarrassed cough' I think it may have been my Nortons as I have now turned it off and steam is working fine - sorry steam. The memory of trying to activate HL2 is still fresh in my mind.
 
The one gripe I still have is that the downloads are so slow. I have not found any site yet that uses all of my 8mb connection (or even 3mb).
 
Yeah, I know I should have pre-loaded. Was going to wait to hear how long and how good it is but what hell its only £13.
 
I suggest leaving it a couple of days, when I was preloading last week I was getting 300-600 download speed where as tonight I was getting 30, lol, so many people trying to unlock at once kanes the servers.

Edit: I can really recomend the game though, its better than what I expected. :cool:

That's good to hear as the have been a lot of disappointments lately.
 
Having played a few hours, I think that it's pretty decent so far. I love the stats page, my skill is 77 so far, not sure what that means.

Bugger knows where the secrets are, but guess that's why they are called 'secrets'...

Fun, fun fun!
