** The Official Space Flight Thread - The Space Station and Beyond **

No footage, it's good that it's from the UK but if your after footage I wouldn't recommend watching the stream.

Why can't they do footage like space x ?

Makes you appreciate how good SpaceX’s coverage is but also how routine and uneventful satellite launches have become.

Edit: Also, is their GUI created on the Amiga?
They have made it even more uneventful now. Grabbing some views, headline news and not delivering on something to watch at least

Thought it was going to be an actual rocket launch, not a piggy back launch from a plane.

Guess my expectations of a space port were beyond what Cornwall could achieve.
I seem to remember some thing about the rotation of the earth aiding in rocket launches, so potentially we are too far from the equator for the large rocket launches. (I could be mixing it up with something else). We could probably pull off the small scale launches. I believe there is a company in New Zealand that is doing that.

The Virgin launch commentator is regularly found in a hospital. His voice is used instead of anaesthetic.

I will say, good on them for having a sign language interpreter. Something that SpaceX/NASA could do with. Such a shame he was the most animated thing on the screen.
