You get a code on your invoice, if the qualifying item was eligible for the game at the time of purchase. You then go to AMD rewards website, sign up or login and redeem the code from your invoice. AMD rewards will then ask you to link your steam account and you will have the game added to your library.

Most Bethesda games you can do pretty much whatever you want. I guess the only difference here being the need to build a spaceship or you may be somewhat limited in scope

I suspect you’ll be able to just buy pre-made ships.
