****The Official The Avengers: Age of Ultron Thread ****

Are they killing off Natalie Portman in this? Looks like a possibility what with Thor strangling Stark.

No. I believe Thor strangling Stark has something more to do with the fact that he's partly (or mostly) responsible for the creation of one Ultron. Notice how Stark blames himself about the path he started them on.

There are so many continuity's in comics it's really hard to predict what they will do.

In the Avengers cartoon (which I thought was quite enjoyable) Ultron was created by Henry Pym (Ant-Man), then weaponised by Stark then Pym programs him to make him aware of violence to aid in a battle. Ultron becomes self aware and evil.

I assumed with them doing Ant-Man film then this may be the line they were taking but turns out Ant-Man film comes out AFTER Avengers 2 so guess not.

They can introduce the notion of Ant-Man though without showing him, much like they do with some of the films/characters in the end credits....I wouldn't actually be surprised if Ant-Man was in the end credits given that its all be cast etc now.

The trailer looks ok - they are painting a very dark picture which is correct (based on the comics) but I cant help but feel that the dark imagery will be in the film for all of 10 minutes before all the one liners and slapstick will come in as if nothing is that vital.

Thats one thing the DC films do right that Marvel needs to really start putting in films properly - the hopelessness of the situation at hand.

Similar thing they did with iron man 3, hope it isn't the same with this.

Looks as good as I hoped !! can't wait !!

I'm sure I read somewhere that Whedon specifically stated that Ant-Man will have no part in Ultron's creation.

Roll on 2015 !!
