The "Official" University 2007 Thread - Where are OcUKers going?

I'm hopefully going to be at UWE in Bristol doing Games Technology.

I'm not 100% sure I'll get in as of yet but I'll be moving there regardless.
 
I'm all set for moving back (only a couple of my mates also passed all their exams same as me, most failed atleast one, so have retakes), only problem is I don't have the money for the rent :(

£300 a month, and has to be a week before the end of the month...fine...apart from the slight fact that loans etc. don't get paid in till Oct, and most housing rent for 2nd years starts as Sept being the first rental month. :mad:

Will sort something out, just such a pain in the bum that if your parents don't pay for your uni you have to have a summer job...if I'd known I'd have stayed in the naff job I was in at the begining of summer.

Try talking to your landlord about it and see if you can sort something out, I know mine would be fine with it.
 
Nah, I do have ways of doing it (legal ways), it's just really irritating that the loans come in so late...yes they may be in time for the start of the course, but not in time for the start of living at uni (or re-start ;)).

I have really nice landlords, and I was infact the first to stump up the deposit cheque, unlike my friends, but I'd rather not irritate them as they are so nice, they've given us August free anyways, which iis cool of them.

Thinking about it I think the uni can help, may see the finaicial peoples later this week, when I've moved some of my stuff in to the new place. :)

If not I have to aska family member if I can borrow it, I really loath borrowing money of family. :(

Learning ive just got my proper transcript today...

I will be going into my 2nd year Computer Forensics at Northumbria Uni.

there has been some issues with my original transcript.. however its been sorted!! weyhey

mech eng , dunno yet ! :o cant remember which halls i applied for , trying to convince mates rentin somewhere would be better but im not even sure it would be yet

By now you'd be very hard pressed to get a decent place.

In Bournemouth when in the first year, we were looking for a new place in Feb, as the competition is so fierce for the decent houses...lost out on a reallt nice on aswell.

yeah thats what i been told , looks like halls or a scummy room in a crack house or something at the moment :p

really wasnt expecting to get in because i proper messed up college so i couldnt really sort stuff out earlier :(
 
Mech Eng.. awesome.

Die hard course that is. Your best off in halls mate in your first year. If you have left it too late, or havent applied you will be in the parish halls.. not good, but a great laugh nonetheless... thats if you havent applied for accommodation yet.
