I'm not sure if to sell my iPhone now, or wait. I know iTunes backs up text messages and stuff but would it sync them with the new iPhone? Got some on there I can't lose.
I wonder if new iphone comes out how long will it take to crack/unlock/jailbreak or whatever. Maybe this will be exactly the same process as the existing one? I have no need for one really cause have a work phone but would love an iphone for use with my wee simplicity o2 tariff.
The small apps are free, however the bigger apps (Like a Skype client) would be pay-per-app. Like some podcasts.
The process should be the same as you describe, providing Apple doesn't change things too much. Judging from the beta releases, the firmware has already been cracked so it's possible it will be "good to go" as soon as it launches.
I'd wait a week if you intend on cracking it.. just to see how things pan out.
If you want something interactive to watch during the keynote then twitlive.tv will be covering the even as it happens by following the news feeds. Broadcasting starts at 17:30 on Monday our time.

I can't see a Skype client being paid for, after all it's in Skype's interest to get it on as many devices as possible. If it appears expect it to be WiFi only though.
Not that I'm expecting it to appear at the WWDC, but I want a 16GB Nano.
